I was at this, my first ever Rezerection. Managed to make everyone after it right up to the final Bangin Bunny Show....watching this back I’m just reminded what a night it was! Me & my mate Tosh where just about to join the Armed Forces at that point so I think we were the only 2 people there not on E’s lmao 😂 the trade off though was that I remember the night so well, Bass Generators set just blew us away - that first track he dropped sent the place into meltdown!! Totally agree with one if he comments below, the generation now have no idea what a party they missed with The Rez - it might be in the past but it will stay in all our hearts & minds forever!! We really were one big Rave family never seen one bit of trouble at any of them, just tons of huggin and smiles through the smoke and glow sticks!!! Big hello to all the Rez fam that read this, hope your all doing well in yer older life!!! Frazz x

best rave of my fukkin life this one, alongside Helter Skelter: Time. The energy was off the planet and ReZ actually sorted out the sound for once, everything was crystal clear and loud as fuck. what a night!❤
Dont know what happened to Mark Smith, he was my fave Dj, then he went full happy hardcore and lost his edge. Before 97 he was amazing with the Xfader basically remixing 2 tunes together. Playing bouncy techno and pure rave with a hard edge. Then he went all Helter Skelter identikit DJ and lost his mojo. And Brisk was doing what he was trying to do but better and before, so was SY
Marc Smith was getting a lot of bookings down south at places like Vibealite, Hardcore Heaven etc he had to have a style that fitted. I agree with you though - Marc was untouchable when it was 94 and 95 and he was playing Bouncy Techno, Rotterdam, Gabber and some Happy Breakbeat stuff. Loved his sets back then and more or less after Event 3 at Rez his sets got happier and happier which was a shame.
Marc Smith done what everyone does, they go where someone willing to pay them a wage. Got bills to pay. He also started producing heavier stuff with Scott Brown for the Dutch scene.
Thank you very much for uploading this, I bought this on video years ago when I was 12, don't know what happened to it, but just to think this was 20 years ago, they just don't do all night party's like this nowaday's which is a shame! Do you know the song @ 33:55 in the video? I've been trying to find the name of the song for years but I've only heard it on this video. one last thing, I can't forget the bagpipes @ 37:30, it makes you feel proud to be Scottish!
What a night that was, my very first Rez. I had just turned 16 earlier in the month. That led me onto many a great night in the Calton Studies for "CORE" & "NOSEBLEED". I also managed a few Judgement Days in Newcastle & in Middlesbrough. Growing up in the 90s must be the best years, some technology but still a simple time. No peer pressure & no bastard internet
