Great job. That follows along with a crystal radio set using a diode. The RF energy collected on a longwire is enough to power a small earpiece creating sound that you can hear. I did an experiment similar to this back in the late 1970's. Very cool!!! Keep up the good work!!!
A Crystal Radio set is one of the next projects on the list! Thanks for the feedback. I tried germanium diode, and although the forward voltage drop made the current at the end much higher, for some reason they don't stop the caps from reversing current when the input is lower than their charge, so I can't store it as well. Still trying to figure that one out.
what is the potential of harvesting as many types of frequencies and combining them? there are different ways to shape a copper coils that produce a variety of different effects. grounding + antenna is also a thing. i appreciate all of you who educate people on these subjects, there is so many important things to learn.
1. If you do have access to ground, where should i put the connection? 2. Which part of the antenna (in or outside) did you connnect to the antenna of the circuit? 3. Would it be possible to put more antena's in this circuit or would it just increase the resistance? My highest reading yet is 25 mV one last question: after a while the readings suddenly dropped to a negative number without inverting polarity , anyone has an explanation?
add a flasher chip to the end of that circut it doubles the voltage to flash an led i think its a lm3909 flasher chip i hung it on my wall and every time i keyed up my station it flashed the led.
Hey man! I am doing this circuit as a capstone project for collecting energy from alternative sources. Can you give me a tip on how can I increase the power of this circuit?
You can either add a Joule thief to the output for current, or create a voltage multiplier for voltage, or a combination of both. Many people have been working on perfecting this circuit for more useful applications. As of now, this circuit is used to power low energy devices for the IoT.
You can get Earh ground by making a 3-prong plug that has no BLACK and no WHITE wire ... only green ... the center lower pin. That is your Earth ground attached to the house. However, in some ways this cheats because there are loads of spikes on that wire from home appliances in the house that glitch and come off and on... Fridge, etc.
when you connected the antenna, you only connected the positive cable. How about the negative terminal from the antenna? is it not needed? What if I have an RF source that has positive and negative terminal, how will i connect it? lastly, could you please make me understand the function of the two input capacitors? how will they affect the circuit if not included?
I do not know much about capacitors but i thought they were used to filter out noise, also maybe he only connects one side of the antenna because of the rectifier circuit with the diodes.
he not connect on positive cable he just connected the antenna in which ac types signal probably coming as he said means soo both left and right side wire positive will coming as both side capacitors he didoes so that he can convert into dc positive up and negative down ... If You do not even use the circuit you will be getting direct signal of ac of that data.. capacitors used to strong energy without storing .. large metal can work as antenna also i think can allow more voltage flow..
Nice, a few gafs, you caught the capacitors/diodes one, but also mw is no mv sure they can be related.. but... also you could try tapping your electrical ground for a ground. may not be great for audio projects, but may help your scavenging.. but here is my view and upvote and subscription.
One potential problem with using mains ground as circuit ground is the high probability that it will have errant voltages induced onto it, which can easily be in the 1-3V range in a large electrical system like that of an apartment complex. That would completely swamp out the energy being harvested by RF, and give the appearance of a false result.
That's not what he said. A "good ground" refers to ground-conductivity as it relates to various localized geological factors. The surface of the Earth is far from being a uniformly perfect conductor.
Hi, 👋😢😢, PLEASE 🙏 BUILD THIS WITHOUT A PCB BOARD. WE DON'T ALL HAVE MONEY TO BUY ONE. I MEAN I WANT TO BUILD THIS BUT WITHOUT A PCP BOARD. 😊😊😊 TUTORIAL PLEASE 🙏
It is best to use a bread board because of organizing and knowing were everything is and they are not much but if you insist. The bread board had the 2 center columns that are separated at the center and separated from the row above and below but has 4 holes chained together on the horizontal sides. The red and blue on the sides are chained to gether in the vertical plain but do not chain the red and blue to gether because they are your positive and negative sides of your circuit hole this helps but if you need it visualized you can look up the internal connections online
perhaps the high voltage is due to inductive coupling, the multimeter maybe showing wrong values because of that, for better readings use analogue multimeter or voltmeter
Hello, Can you say if it is possible to recover with your rectenna system, the energy of an electrical radiation which measures in Volt/meter? For example, would it be possible to recover the electrical radiation that my computer or other electrical device propagates? And would it be possible to recover the energy of the induced current of the body (see test of induced current of the body)? If yes, can you sell me your ready-to-use system as well as make me a step-by-step video of the realization of your system and if so, at what price? I thank you in advance for your return as well as the precisions that you could bring me? Have a good day. Cordially, The White Rabbit ;) Ps: this message has been translated with google translate because I am French and do not speak English.
its useless to use radio to receive power. you must diy a circuit that takes in continuos signal direct from the air, aerial frequencies. check the atmospheric electricity specifications, 100v per meter height.
Your restricting yourself by using electronic components, take an iron rod solder a cable to it and push it in the ground, then take a load of copper and stick it up in the air solder a cable to the copper then put your meter on the 2 cables, more copper more volts, because all electric is RF everything you believe to be true is false
