In molecular biology, restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) is a technique that exploits variations in homologous DNA sequences, known as polymorphisms, in order to distinguish individuals, populations, or species or to pinpoint the locations of genes within a sequence.

Sir by identifying the specific bands on the auto radiography how can we the person is suffering from inherited disease I have understood the importance of rflp through ur video. But now what is the difference between individual 1 and individual 2 If there is only one restriction site , that means he is suffering from disorder?? Bcoz the normal individual have 2 restriction sites is it crct sir?

You will have nucleotide sequence to that template strand right!!! Observe those nucleotides (AGTC) Then according to that sequence select the complementary sequenced strand
