I'd think the whole point of the Armored Core being 30MM would be the idea of swapping parts, which I assume means plenty more releases as part sets, if not full kits. I'm sure there'll at least be tank and quadruped representation in there.
Considering the customizing nature of the mechs in the games it sounds genius to be honest. I never had any interest in 30MM series but looks like I'm getting both of these (sigh). Still need to build my kotobukiya White Glint and Mirage...
Yeah, in fact, you can even swap entire bodies too, just like the AC games. So they are clearly gonna bank on you buying all 3 variants just to make your dream AC, unbound by game mechanics.
Requiem for Vengance is a SEPARATE project from the Live Action movie. The animation has been in the works for years, mostly during the lockdown era, and they're just using Netflix for international distribution. The movie is still in early stages of production
I'm sorry but what's in the trailer is what you'll get in the end. Just wait and see. The Japanese CGI animation has never been good and something like berserk 2016 is actually the standard, not an exception. There are actually way worse example where berserk 2016 looks like a masterpiece in comparison.
@@HaohmaruHL What are you talking about? Movies like Expelled from Paradise is amazing to watch. Hell, even the Final Fantasy movies are still quite the watch, specticle wise. In fact, what you're bringing up regarding CGI is all in TV anime where budgets are pretty tight to begin with. Requiem for Vengeance is a movie.
@@HaohmaruHL😂 I love how many nerds' responses to comments have absolutely nothing to do with what was said in the comment. Try reading slower and not just picking out one word to project onto. In this case, all you saw was "animation". I hope this helps.
@@LoliconSamalik Wait till you find out that it's never about budget. Budget =/= Quality. That's not how it works. It's about which people are involved, their skills/talents and what they can pull of on a tight schedule. A lot of animation is subcontracted. Bad management and planning will produce a bad product regardless of budget. One Punch Man had less budget per episode than One Piece. But One Punch Man Season 2 turned out to look worse not because of lower budget but because star dream team that gathered for S1 and drove the whole thing with their passion wasn't already there. Or you can just look at Modern Hollywood which keeps produces multi billion turds.
Would love to see Zeta RG 2.0 and Sinanju 2.0 in the future. specially Zeta's waist part is toooo thin it can easily snap with partially too much forced applied, with how RG kits looks good in newer lines, I think a massive revisit would make Zeta nearly perfect-----assuming RG 2.0 solved the issue. Sinanju red color impressive and like metallic gloss(if thats the term) and my favourite in terms of appearance in RG kits, but with how soft the articulations are, it feels soo dissapointing and a huge mis opportunity and makes the poses limited, even harder to stand compare to regular kits with huge backpack. even holding the shield cant raise its arm properly because on how soft it is v.s how bulky-ish the gunpla is. I would love if 2.0 would fix the issue. Lets hope this RG 2.0s would make more kits robust, if thats another part of their goal.
I'm looking forward to what they bring about with the v2.0 RX-78, even though I'm someone who's generally vocal about not really liking the RX-78. Love how the inner frame looks a lot sturdier, and really hope we see a Version 2.0 of the Zaku... And the mentioned but never released RG Gouf and even GM. I'll also agree with what others have said, about how a v2.0 Sinanju would be lovely.
RE: Armored Core collab instead of Standalone: Aside from the theme of customization, I wanna assume licensing rights have a hand on it. Armored Core is not a directly-related IP under Bandai and associates (they only published the game), so creating a new license may prove too costly if the intent is just releasing a couple of kits. By making it a collab instead, they could have a more limited (and therefore cheaper) agreement to make the kits, and it can be revived if more kits come our way. That's my thought process at least. P.S. Not a Japanese marketing strategist, so take this with a spoonful of salt.
I believe these armored core kits are going to be closer to 1/72 scale like the Kyoukai Senki kits, as ACs aren’t very big like around 7 to 10 ish meters
I think they're a bit bigger than that judging by how they stand next to buildings and normal attack helicopters in the game. Probably closer to the roughly 15m height of Gundam Wing if I were to guess. Though I haven't bothered to research what their actual height would be, I'm just making a rough guess based on other things around the areas in the game.
@@HybrydATP64according to the lore all acs were around 10 meters. Only acV acs were smaller at 5 meters. The games didnt actualy represent the scale properly untill ac6. Thats where the confusion comes from. Kotobukiyas were 1/72 scale and looking at my old ac kits next to a high grade rx78 which should be as big as that spinatio in the comparison pic the bandai ones will definitely be a bit smaller my guess is around 1/80th. Kinda sucks. Im almost sure bandai did this just so that their ac6 kit parts wouldnt be compatible with the older kits from koto and vice versa.
bolinoak sammahn is an amuro MS? since when? also that hi-zack isn't the standard hi-zack, it's the hi-zack custom. it's closest design wise to the hobby hi-zack so they didn't need to change too many pieces
this I could be wrong, but until the release of MG barbatos, there were no signs or leaked information. I heard the barbatos was picked for MG from bandai survey (maybe im wrong sorry folks). So for MG IBO, we have to wait and see if Bandai treated IBO the same for Gundam seed (Duel-Buster-Blitz-Aegis-STRIKE) since the MG IBo frame is very good and bandai tend to reuse the frame for next kits.
Well we got, Lunamaria, and Ple 2 which gives me hope that we might get a kit of Marida Cruz in her pilot suit. Fingers crossed. (Edited because a minutes after I typed this, Zaku said it too.)
As for the Armored Core kits, it's gonna be incredibly hard for me to get my hands on them with them being $40+ a piece. I was hoping they'd be $25-$35.
Ya know? I wouldn't hate another G Gundam show... Like, I'm not the world's biggest fan of the show, but shoot, if SEED gets to have an inexplicable 2020s revival, I see no reason why other universes can't get more love.
I've been calling for this ever since the RG God Gundam was released bro! HG or RG, but I believe the technology for HGs is not good enough to facilitate a good transformation, but we'll see if it ever happens.
Requiem For Vengeance designs makes sense since it's suppose to closer aesthetically to a real world version of how a gundam would work. I like them for that movie.
I’m all in for those armored core kits. I also really want that HI Zack custom. I loved seeing it doing its sniping in Zeta Gundam, although I think it was only in one or two episodes. Also just watched the new preview for the Netflix show and kinda forgot the Zaku is for the main character and the Gundam is for the other side. The standard Zaku looked a bit better to me and they showed a couple of new versions of the Gouf. Personally I really like the evil Gundam and am more excited for that than the rg granddaddy
I agree with what you said about everything. But especially the AC6 kits. Bandai has a track record of rarely reprinting kits that’s not their Own IP or collab kits. Better get a copy or two for those that are interested in them. And yeah, price is kinda high. As Expected for kits that are not their IP. Just like koto, moderoid and others. For the RG 2.0, get ready for “don’t buy that, buy the 2.0 instead” and “don’t buy RG xxxx just wait for the 2.0” comments 🤣
4:57 They *do* feel almost like they handed the reigns of designing them over to either YuJiao Land or FortuneMeow. I don't care much for the new 'White Devil'. But I kinda dig *some* of the details on the Zaku. Either way, the movie/series should be interesting, as an almost 'Zeon perspective to (some parts of) 08th MS Team'.
I get that the RX-78-2 is the granddaddy and all, but the amount of RGs that can be produced is finite. There are so many other mobile suits that could have gotten the RG treatment but can't because the granddaddy took up that spot.
Love the RG 2.0 accouncement the most! It just opened so much potential for earlier released RGs. Hopefully 2.0 RGs come every 3-4 years instead of yearly releases to give new suits a chance too. Annnd would the RG 2.0 be a rebrand for the entire line in a way? Hoping Bandai finally remove the pre-assemble joints on the MS once and for all. *cough* RG God gundam *sneeze*
Hizack custom got special announcement makes me wonder if they gonna fully utilized the mold to make many its variation The psycho and ple two teaser maybe sign of queen mansa approaching
I totally expected a regular Hi-Zack AOZ Reboot to release on P-Bandai and I was right. Sucks that we only have the old Hi-Zack for regular HG and MG release but yeah. Expected.
The AC kits are pretty accurate to 1/72 scale (if the mecha in ACVI are around 10 meters tall). It's more accurate than the Koto kits which have always been slightly bigger than the suggested 1/72 scale (more akin to 1/55-60 scale from what I've measured with my kits).
Ooh thats interesting! I didnt know that. Always just asumed the scale was correct on those! Now I will never feel the same about having em displayed with my other 1/72th scale kits xD So strange of bandai to not put the scale on the box then...
The 2.0 Gramps looks cool and I'll be getting it for the novelty, but I am more excited about the possibility of other 2.0 RG kits. RG Zeta 2.0 can be an amazing comeback
@ZakuAurelius I'm willing to bet you would definitely appreciate the Steel Haze Ortus if they make a kit of that which by the way was designed by Takayuki Yanase. I'm really looking forward to these Armored Core kits. I had a feeling the new kit to celebrate the 45th anniversary would be an RX-78 but I was surprised to see it's going to be the first RG 2.0 and I gotta say it's looking pretty cool.
I'm not sure what copium Zaku is smoking, but I think the AC6 line is gonna be huge. Bandai Namco published AC6, and while I know Fromsoft owns the AC IP, I doubt licensing will be an issue.
The EX and Solari look a lot like the 1/144 RX-78-ff with dock in a lot of detail and panel lines For the RG 2.0, I'm really hoping that the core fighter, thruster bells, and the front/back skirts are tighter. I also hope there are fewer fiddly issues...and that they add a second attachment point for an action base rather than taking up the same spot as the bazooka which was irritating for display
BB Senshi and SD Cross Silhouette lines existed since forever. It's that westerners are only exposed to the lame made-in-china SD EX Standard line which makes SD kits look bad and has nothing in common with them in terms of quality (or even proper SD proportions tbh). Every time someone says they don't like SD kits I automatically think it's because they've been burned by an SDEX kit.
No new MGSD No any 1/100 Atleast RG 2.0 caught me. I'm not RG fan but might grab it since Gramp 2.0 are release to commemorate 45th Gunpla anniversary.
The RG line has come so far from basically being excessively color separated HG armor on a little fragile action figure to genuine 1/144 scale master grades. I think with that in mind, the icon of the franchise deserves to get a kit that follows the new design philosophy. It's boring to see if you've been in the hobby for a million years, but a new gunpla fan is (probably) born every day and they deserve to be able to pick up a design they recognize that has all the bells and whistles of the modern kits which might be something they've never seen and can't even pronounce.
lol Bolinoak Samhain an Amuro suit???? I keep forgetting you don’t watch the anime so you don’t know where the suits come from. Sarah Zabarov is the Bolinoak’s pilot.
who saying the requiem gunpla's are too detailed? I hope the fans who love to litter their kits with warning decals or fans who love to panel like the living hell out of MG kits and paint each panel a different shade are not the ones complaining. lol
I want a Shining Gundam Revive (I am not satisfied with the 2011 HG _at all_ ), MG 2.0, or especially an RG! We're probably getting Dragon and Bolt and that's it though. I would also like an HG Rising and Spiegel.
Please don't say the Requiem designs look AI generated. Lately there's been a trend to say anything perceived as remotely bad is AI generated, and I think it really hurts artists and creators alike and also muddies the waters.
I get Rx-78 is 'THE GUNDAM", but do we really need at least one every year? Especially when we get so little retail kits in recent years, especially RGs? As for the RG 2.0 itself, its too chunky for me, especially the head and legs. Unfortunately overdesigned inner frame comes at a cost.
i think why the Armored Core kits is a collab is because Kotobukiya have the right / priority to sell kits with the AC franchise? so this is bandai skirting around it by making it a collab? CMIIW!
okay let's be honest here! Bandie is out of ideas for new 1/100, right !?! Around mid years, for the celebration of Gundam 00 anniversary, Dynames/Kyrios/Virtue were re-glorified in MG. MG Eclipse was out for the new manga Seed Eclipse. the numbers started to dwindle from 2019 onward when 2023 has only one new regular-released MG, and some Full mechanics. 2024 thanks god for 2 new MG Ver Ka, but do really hope for new normal MG since Seed Freedom is out, thus Savior/Akatsuki/Legend Gundam should be in line for next MG for such film celebration. Abyss/Chaos/Gaia hopefully get FM treatment in the futủre, hopefully.
I feel really bad for all the people saying "now we're gonna get 2.0's of RGs like the Sinanju!". Sorry buddy, if 3.0 and Perfect Grade Unleashed are anything to go by, we know that Bandai will create 10 "new" lines that start and end with the RX-78-2 Also MG is giga-super-dead.
