I decided to start documenting my charity shop finds here in England.
I don't expect to do many videos a year as the good stuff is far and few between in finding, but occasionally you do find some hidden gems!
Most of the good stuff ends up on auction sites these days.
Music used in my video's is royalty free from RU-vid
Thanks for watching and keep an eye out for more videos from me or please consider sharing subscribing to get notifications on new videos.

Thanks very much 😉 Regards your host, Frank
I'll be seeing you! 🙂

Love the old Pioneer headphones! I guess they don't call 'em 'cans' for nothing! Ah yes, the 3V31 - a clone of the JVC HR-7650 if I recall correctly, and the successor to the 3V23. The latter was still considered a premium machine, and I'd rather they'd kept the design and simply added linear stereo to it! I recall it was quickly superseded by the 3V32, which had LongPlay, so was a 4-head model (the JVC equivalent is HR-7655). They were all linear stereo machines, so naturally sounded quite muffled and wooly in comparison to the Hi-Fi VHS models which came out a few years later (e.g Ferguson 3V43/ JVC HR-D725). Pre-recorded tapes from that era featuring the Dolby Stereo logo are likely to carry a liner stereo soundtrack. The pace of technology change at that time was quite something, as you began the eighties with clunky top-loaders, and ended with sleek NICAM and even S-VHS machines with all the bells 'n' whistles thrown-in!

Just looked up that 3v43. Looks like a nice machine. I'll keep an eye out for one or it's JVC equivalent. Yes those pioneer headphones are cans lol

Hi there, I managed to buy two commodore 1702 monitors yesterday from a tv recycling place, one works and the other has line collapse, ive ordered cap kits for them both from farnells which should be here Monday, im looking forward to restoring them. Also collected 8 televisions I bought from various ebay sellers and have an amber monitor and an apple 2 se with 2 drives, monitor and printer on the way. Oh edit, also got a spectrum +3 with disc drive and a spectrum 128k +2B last week. Also a Sony PVM-14M4E. I will have to upload some videos. Love your videos, thanks for sharing. Steve

Good finds. If the caps do not cure it it could be the line output transformer and maybe a hot transistor near it. I had to replace mine on my commodore 1084 monitor. Unfortunately I didn't film it as it was before I was doing RU-vid .

Yes as I was ordering a cap kit for the working one I just thought I may as well order for the faulty one too, I have yet to look at that, been busy repairing some black and white televisions recently, I will be uploading one today which I have done and painted a beautiful flame red colour, it looks stunning. @@RetroGadgetMan
