My Son Eric, 27 years old, lost his life on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at the hands of police gunfire in Alabama. He was so in turmoil and he said that this song best described him. It would give him a temporary lift. Just temporary. I encourage those reading, please press into the Lord, to find your personal peace and live for Jesus Christ. He loves you.

Religion wasn't a part of my life growing up. We didn't go to church or read the bible. I knew of God but that's about it. As a teenager I started my long road of drug addiction and shame and lives there for almost 20 years! After the death of my mother and a 6 month stay in prison I found my self in a faith based women's rehab. It was there I FOUND MERCY!! Now I am clean and sober since 9/27/17. I am so thankful I know the Lord now. I have my life back AND IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN I EVER THOUGHT IT COULD BE!!! Glory be to god! #recoveryispossible

I have come so far from troubled kid to awesome young man (I'm 16) and just recently I accepted Christ as my savior and I gave my life back to God now I'm reading the Bible and praying daily! God is awesome!

My mind found peace! My soul found hope! My heart found a home! How many toys, money, psychological council, drugs, relationships etc. can give u that? How many Psychologists can guarantee that? Only one can offer you unconditional love! Only One can wipe away every tear! Only one can wipe away all transgressions & regrets. Even the best person with the best intentions cannot come remotely close to the love of Jesus. If God loves us with such a unfathomable love, then the momentary afflictions that we suffer cannot compare with what awaits the faithful.

My faith is weak... I need to know Jesus more than ever before...

I still remember the day Jesus found me. I was 15 years old running XC, after failing my team and coach at a big meet I went through a existential crisis the next day. I had a lot of issues growing up with my dad being nonexistent and that affected me far more than I’d ever realized. Even though I had always said I was a Christian, I never knew Jesus. After going for a run the next day, I cried desperately and called out to Jesus to save me. I had never been a huge fan of music but God gave me the words of the MercyMe song “Here With Me” and I felt his presence for the first time. Even though I am currently 18 and struggling with porn addiction, I am not the same person I was those 4 years ago and God is working on my heart everyday! Jesus is great and merciful!

As a teen, before accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I walked away from God. I blamed Him for all of my sins, and I blamed God for all of my problems. My heart was cold and I was sad. But when I found that I needed Jesus and finally listened, I was 18 and I started coming to church with a friend, and I met Jesus. I just turned 19 when I was saved and I was baptised. I'm turning 20 soon. You can always came to God and He's always there for you. Jesus saved my life, otherwise I'd be caught in sin like I was younger. Jesus died for us and He made a way for us. I am strong in my faith now, and I'm glad I'm a Christian now. God bless!

I was at a Christian retreat working there one week. 30 high school boys came on our walk called "walk to emmuas" 24 boys got saved that weekend and 6 rededicated there lives for Jesus after a dying moments ceremony where they lay there problems down at a cross. The Team, band and these 30 boys sung this song moments after all this happened, I cried as everyone else did, and probably grew a inch of hair from the goose bumps.. Nothing like the feeling when Jesus shows up.

I've been hearing this song on the radio a lot lately. Every time, I do I get so filled with the Spirit. but then I give into Worldly desires. I was saved in November 2013 but I've wavered from my faith. I picked up my Bible for the 1st time today in a long time. I read passages on Homosexuality. I had been condoning it and giving into the worldly idea that people are ' born this way' but I know I was wrong to so. I prayed for mercy and forgiveness. I don't ever want to lose this respect for Him again.

Mercy found me in a mess, my life was a terrible wreck, I can't believe that I'm loved so much even after how I lived my life in rebellion. Thank You Jesus, My Savior.

One day when I first heard this song the Holy Spirit witnnesed in my Spirit that this man is singing from his HEART and SOUL. I have always trusted Jesus but now after this song I realised that I can never do anything to redeem myself or overcome any of the struggles that I go through. Only Jesus can help me. He is the only one who can save me from the bondage of my sins and set me free. He is the only one who can redeem me. I will trust in Jesus fully. I have relinquished control of my life and finally given it to Jesus. He is my Saviour, my Redeemer and my Lord and I will trust in him every day

This song brings me so much joy and overwhelms me with gratutude. I was a very lost and broken soul not too kong ago.. i was bound by the chains of addiction for about 11 years, and on top of that for all those years i was in addiction, i was also in a very toxic, verbally and mentally abusive, and controlling relationship. I spiraled and spiraled crashing into rock bottom. I lost everything and everyone except that very toxic relationship. BUT GOD. In 2019, the opportunity came for me to to go to rehab. I was ready. I jumped all over the chance and i ran with it. I surrendered to God and told him I was ready to live my life for him. The day i went to rehab, was also the day i left my abuser. My "high school sweetheart" of about 12 years. I have never felt so free in my life. I gave my life to God and turned my whole self over to Him. I was going to church multiple times a week, my brother was part of the band and would play his guitar and sing. This song was my favorite one that he would sing. It described my life down to a tee. MERCY HAD FOUND ME!!! After all those years i was free. To this day this song brings tears to my eyes and raises every hair on my arms. I feel Gods presence and its as a reminder of where i have come from, what i was set free from, and how i got to where i am today. In August i will have 5 years of recovery under my belt. Still single. God will send me the perfect one when the time is right. And i daily yearn to get closer to God and show Gods love and mercy to the world. Thank you Rhett Walker Band for this song ❤❤

Heard this on the way to church this morning. I enjoy the rawness of the singing and the message of redemption. I value the traditional "country" edge and flavors that Contemporary Christian singers such as Rhett Walker and Matt Maher, bring to their music and songs. It just feels honest to the fact that living in faith isn't easy, nor does it makes life easy.
