Rheumatology Patient Education: Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) 

are there alternative non pharmacological treatments other than high amount prednisone? what are non pharmacological treatments such as high amounts of vitamin D3 for the reduction of inflammation? prednisone can have bad after effects?

Other than fact sheets, it would be nice to have current links or references to peer reviewed literature, as facts sheets tend to be redundant.
