Steering box replacement with David Blaine's little brother

the pin on mine is stuck - though I can rotate the steering box freely, the pin seems corroded to the box and no matter how hard I attempt to knock it loose, it will not budge. thoughts??

OMG the "pin" does not come out easy! As per instructed by Rhodan I had to cut it off. Outside of that it wasn't hard.

My steering went out on me this past weekend..when try to turn left or right I get a red light on the far right light and and a noice but not a beep more like a error could this be my steering box??
