Pretty… I have a nice size one that gives me two to four spikes a year, but I’m not crazy about its scent. I grow mine under a crape myrtle & it seems to be doing well there. Thank you for sharing.

Great tips! I am not a fan of the Gigantea fragrance. I do have a Rhynchostylis coelestis however that smells like grape candy ...but very very hard to keep it happy. Have it in an incubator as we speak ;)

I have one I feel I have to take the risk and repot it already. I think this is an easy grower in our environment. Potted or not all of mines are doing excellent. Great video, Happy growing Todd.

Mine is just a tiny baby and a number of years from maturity but hopefully I will successively grow it to bloom. My humidity varies a lot outside but I might still try to grow it outside for spring and summer seasons. I’m in Southern California about 12 miles from the ocean. So I get morning marine layer, burns off by the sun throughout the morning and then dryer afternoons. As the sun goes down, the humidity increases again. I’ll have to keep a close eye on how it does of a I do bring it outside. Thanks again and happy growing!
Well great, guess i gotta find room for another orchid, great care video! i've heard some hybrids have very nice and very pungent fragrances, so i think it would be a nice addition to my rapidly growing orchid collection, not sure ill have room for another gigantic orchid though, ive only bought one vanda seedling and it's going to take up more room than i actually have, but i quite like the flowers on these
@@toddstropicals of course! ive been binge watching your channel lately since ive been on an orchid kick, and damn it you've made me really want to grow a cattleya 🤣 gotta figure out which one since i dont have room for a polytunnel, but maybe when we get the greenhouse set up
