This is what I love about these books. It's not just the usual plot twist of the first love interest not being the final one, it shows how a relationship can feel perfect for a while, but you can still grow apart and as you grow, someone else might eventually be better for you and be your new perfect. Sometimes, people evolve and don't fit together anymore the way they used to, and that's okay. It's about accepting that, which Tamlin couldn't at first, but by the end of ACOWAR, when he told Feyre to be happy, I think he finally came to terms with it. I like that it isn't the fairytale trope of "first person I loved was my soulmate", she had to experience other relationships before she could find her true perfect partner.
@@kyradunston7624 exactly! Only in the secone book, when Feyre herself reflects on it more as she is away from the Spring Court, you see how abusive her relationship with Tamlin really was
They where not in a good mental health to be in a healthy relashionship. Yes she could have try to talk to him more , but him locking the house was f.cked up. I'm glad she got out of it, for both of them
The thing is, İ hate, absolutely hate to not finishing the series. İ will Read it all when İ start it because I have to know the ending right? And the other thing I hate is Love triangles. I despise them and even if it means spoilers I always check if something has a love triangle. İf it has 2 love interests I will not Read it. So, I asked on reddit if this has a love triangle. I literally said if the series has more than one love interests. And the answers was ' no, not at all there ıs NO love triangle and you have to stop İnvestigating it because this book is so aWesOme yOu dOnt wAnT to Be sPOilEd ' And there ıs a love triangle. Now I'm stuck with a book with a trope I hate but I cant drop it because now I'm involved and it would make Me madder. Like why are you lying? İt has literally 2 love interests, temlin and rhysand. And it doesn't matter you don't like one of them it is still a love triangle! This 3 people who told me there is no love triangle just Read it and I will understand are the worst people I swear
When your reading the first book rn and really confused rn i should skip these before i spoil something Edit:Almost done with the book on chapter 36 im scared bc i love Tamlin and don’t think i mentally prepared for this
Tamlin let her wither away as her trauma, guilt and self hatred are her up and her locked her up just to keep her like a toy. Rhysand risked everything for her and let her be free when she needed it. I feel bad for Tamlin that Feyre didn’t break up with him in person I know he loved her but after he locked her up in his house he didn’t really deserve one. Tamlin tried to corrupt Feyre against Rhysand by saying Rhysand was a monster and telling Feyre that the night court killed his family like he didn’t sell out Rhysands mother and sister to his blood thirsty father and brothers betraying Rhysands trust when Rhysand had actually really liked him. Feyre and Rhysand are not innocent but they are victims to Tamlins betrayal. Tamlin needs someone that isn’t afraid of him or him hurting them when he has anger outbursts.
I get this. I just got to the part where she leaves tamlin...and I'm having a really hard time adjusting after she literally died for him in the first book. Should I keep reading and try to picture her with rhysand? I'm pissed at tam for treating her like that....but I can't picture her with rhys.
@@abigailoconnell5873 you should read the second book. Really. You will see the real Rhysand. I absolutly love their relationship. Just read the books and then you probably love them. My favorite Book is the 3 and the 2 part.
@@abigailoconnell5873 you can't imagine feyre with Rhys and I can't imagine her without him. If you don't like their relationship, just read the rest of the books. They are incredible and the last book is about Nesta.
