There were so many tear-jerking shows from PIW groups this year, but Rhythm X... I personally think they could've done their show at either piano or fortissimo and everyone would still love it. With all the running and notes on the floor, these guys had an 11/10 season.
R-X and Dartmouth were my favorite two shows. (online, not there in person)I heard What is Hip, and Channel 1 Suite, only saw it one time so now looking forward to repeat views. This is an amazing show!
For those of you who are curious what i used to shoot this // Body: Sony A7iii // Lens: Sony 70-200mm f2.8 GM // Mic: Rode Stereo Vidmic Pro // All strapped on to a monopod
I thought this show was too busy in my opinion but I really liked pulse and rcc’s shows because there’s always a couple of shows for me that I can listen to throughout and still get the message and I didn’t really get the music with the theme tbh
See, when you're watching Rhythm X's newer shows, you really have to stop and ask yourself: Is this show as good as 2009? And the answer will *always* be no. TOUCH FOREVER
Wow...I'm an old guy who started playing in the 1980's...played just long enough to play with my universities first indoor percussion ensemble. I gotta say the stuff they're doing now is AMAZING. maybe....just maybe, a little overkill on some things but the level of talent is crazy. glad to see kids still drumming. (and keyboarding...and guitaring...)
I really love this show and the energy it builds and just watching it you really just feel excitement which I didn’t get from RCC it was more of a message but the only thing I don’t like about this show is it feels like there are like 6 or 7 movement Thor things and everything else is just to distract you from moving things and to waste time overall love this show
Imagine getting contracted for vibes to have the opening feature played by the marimbas, the following feature played by the bass drums, the solo played by a snare drum, and most of your time is spent pushing your board around the floor and playing about a minute's worth of music total.
Alot of talented young people taking this show to the edge.....WGI like DCI to the edge of extinction. I hope WGI has a contingency plan to save this for the next 10 years without increasing costs. after this pandemic. DCI went from 200 corps in 3 divisions to under 50 corps nationwide , some will not return in 2021 damn it. Some WGI programs may see the same fate.
Is it just me or does the first guitar solo where everyone is circling him sound like the guitar solo at the beginning of hot for teach by van Halen???
