RIA BBR 310 using 13RD Para P10 Extended Magazine Mod to fit 

This guy is great. He modified his 13 round sleeve to fit my 12 round magazine. Looks great. I am very happy.

Seeing this mod gave me the incentive to buy the BBR 3.10 that I was holding off on because of the grip size. Getting the Pearce finger extension and modifying it and the P13 mags with your 3D printed sleeves make all the difference in this little hammer. Good work.

Finished the mod this weekend and bought the 3D printed collar. Took about .5hrs for both magazines to be moded. Works awesome and would recommend it for sure.

Great information in this video. Thanks to you I also got the P10 mags. and Larry's custom 3d printed sleeves to match the existing grips. They fit great and look like OEM. I got the Hogue grip only to find that one side the screws are either cross threaded in or Loctite was applied. As it is brand new My guess is cross threaded. Oh well, that's what the warranty is for. One tip that made the mag fitting process a snap. After you make sure the pistol is cleared and safe. 1) Remove the mag release. A simple 1/4 -1/2 counter clockwise turn of the slotted screw frees the mag release from the frame and at the same time captures the spring in the release body. 2) Remove from the frame. 3) Insert an empty 10 round mag. You will see where the catch cutout is in relation to the mag release.4) Remove the footplate and spring from a P10 mag. 5) Insert in frame and mark the bit you need to cut away with....I use the point of one of my fine files. As always, measure twice (or even three times) and cut once. Then just reinstall the mag catch/release. Be carful you don't pop too soon or you're liable to launch both screw and spring! Finally test fit. If it locks in you only need to make sure you clean off any burrs from the fresh cut, clean and reassemble. If not repeat as needed. It only took me about 5 min. per mag.

Just by the way, make sure you disassemble, clean and lube your magazine after completing the modification to the locking slot on the magazine. Those fine metal shavings could jam up the follower plate and cause FTF. Make sure all metal shavings and dust are cleaned out and the inside of the mag is clean and lubed to ensure proper feeding. Sorry about not mentioning this in the video.

That is awesome! I was wondering if the Para mags would work in the RIA BBR. I just picked up a BBR recently, I do have a passion for the 1911 platform but my PARA 14.45 Limited is a bit much to carry everyday. I'm going to search out some PARA mags and make the adjustment on the catch, I love to tinker also but don't have a 3D printer. What would be the cost to make me 3 of the mag extensions ?. Kudo's to you on the mag extension fabrication, looks factory made! American ingenuity at it's finest.

Got a couple of these mag extension sleeves and did the same with a couple P-13 mags. After a little dremeling and filing they feel and look great! Just have to get out and run them through both my BBR 3.10 pistols.

Just wondering if you tried to file or modify the factory slip on also, for folks that have access to 3d printers? Not uncommon that the fillers need some minor adjustments to seat correctly.

Not a bad idea. I’m planning on getting one of these BBR’s because I just feel much more comfortable with the 1911 frame, power and the subcompact is ideal for that discreet, closed carry. May have to take you up on that collar

If the magazine fits all the better in a fire fight , it's not going matter what the gun looks like all that matters is hitting the target . But I commend you on incentive to pick up a few $$$.

Great videos! Considering the double stack, I carried the Rock Island single stack for years but it was so dam heavy, how does this one with the 13+1 compare in weight to the single stack? How about the 10 round get any lighter?

Nice job! If a person didn't have a printer they could put a little effort into cutting down the first sleeve you tried! Now, a better full grip with that "MAGAZINE"! Best to ya',,,,!

Quick question - I got these same mags, modified them to lock.. and then fired the gun. It would only feed one round at a time. The top of the mag where the round is exposed.. it is shaped differently than the factory mag. The PARA mag is flat.. the RIA mag is different. I Dremmeled the collar that came with the PARA mag to make it fit - but your 3D printed ones look boss. But, if the mag won't feed..... Please advise.
