I dont even have the BBR but I appreciate the innovation youve done for it. People like you improve the firearm industry! A +1 or +2 extended pinky grip would be sweet. Maybe youve experimented with that and it just didnt work out.
After 8 days waiting, come to find out that the PO in Houston never scanned this shipment. I received my floorplates today, was scanned at USPS locally. Weird. ODK was right, and he said this isn't the 1st time. The floorplates worked great, and they were for a 9mm version of the BBR. ODK also gave me a link to a 17 rd 9mm mag that his 14rd sleeve fit! I ordered two of them, and another 10 rd. Happy now.
I put pinky extensions on the mags. Thin wood grips from Browne Works. More comfortable to hold. Going to put a curved main spring housing on it. Should help hold the point of aim higher.
I have your P13 sleeves, they work in my BBR310 great. I'll be getting with you for the 10 round plates (I currently use the Pierce). Since you have sleeves and plates for the 10, 13, and 14 round mags, maybe you should go ahead and make a sleeve for the P12 mags? You never know what mags you'll find, I'm always on the hunt for more.
I actually do have a collar for the 12RD magazine, someone sent me one and customized the 13RD to fit the 12RD but I sent him his mag back once I was done. if you are interested let me know...
You did a nice job on mine. Only negative thing is the bottom edges needed smoothed from the texture...a lighter and finger fixed the problem in seconds... Thanks and happy shooting..
How reliable is the feeding with your bbr? I've tried both recoil springs it came with ,tightened the extractor claw, stiffer springs for the mags and still has misfeeds every mag.
I had the same problem. My slide would even lock up before going into battery. Instead of fooling with RIA who let this leave the factory, I took it to a gunsmith who had a lot of 1911 experience. He found a number of things wrong, but it works great now.
I had a bbr310 and sold it for this very reason. Also I could not run any ammo besides fmj. It would destroy critical duty casings and the other hollow point I tried to run. I wasn't sure if it was just a break in period issue.
