That same landing was undertaken by an RAF typhoon pilot a few years ago. Jim Peterson I think it was, it is very impressive to watch. At any rate this solo display was excellent, only beaten by the fantastic Finnish F18 and Belgium F16. (although the SK60 was graceful)

What an extremely underwhelming display. It rolls fast and thats it and they clearly know that. That's why all they did was a bunch of rolls. Any american jet and even Russian jets would have this thing for breakfast. Only American and Russian jets are good. The rest of the world just make flying paperweights that are nothing more than target practice.😂

Impressive....The Rafale is a ball of nerves, and when you look at the demonstrations of other aircraft, the difference in nervousness and agility is glaring. Even the auto-focus has trouble keeping up. The pilot must have suffered in this demonstration, no wonder he won the trophy ! Congratulation for these captation.

Another great video. I love the look of this video. The jet maneuvering against the background of scattered sunlit clouds almost gives the impression your video was shot from another aircraft. The Rafale's demo looked so smooth and effortless. Quite the contrast to the Finnish F/A-18 demo where it looked like the pilot was beating gravity and aerodynamics into submission.

Was it just me or during the low speed high alpha pass the Rafale was turning wirhout the smallest hint of departure?. Beautiful and bold final approach for landing getting out of the half Cuban eight masterfully positioned for the smoothest of landings. Great display, very dynamic and enthralling , for me the best solo this year.

Brilliant display, we've seen the Rafale a couple of times at Duxford on pre airshow practice days. The pilot must be extremely fit.

I've always considered the Rafale to be the equivalent of the US F-18 A/B model. Not as good as the Super Hornets, but decent. The F-35 is superior in every way. France can go its own way, but I'd be interested to see a version with newer engines and stealth.

Gotta attribute that incredible “right now” pitch control to the canards - they must be quite stout to withstand forces like those!

Hate to admit this solo display is as good as if not slightly better than the solo Typhoon display.👍
