That match should have been 5 star match...it had everything...long storyline, promos, and a great build, and they had the crowd at the palm of their hands and they had every emotion in their hands. Everyone was so invested and engaged...I'm speaking about they had both Mark's & Causal fans invested....it was a emotional roller coaster...it was a 5 star to me and to everyone who watched and was there. It's blasphemous that it wasn't a 5 star Match. But I don't care what Dave Meltzer says and thinks...he isn't the man who dictates what's good or not...it's the fans and when the fans love it and go through a emotional roller coaster then that's a 5 star. So too me personally, this match is a 6 star match..it was incredible and took me through so much crazy emotions. Two of the greatest ever, Putting on a Master Piece and making us cry and putting us at the edge of our seats and getting us anxious. Great memory.
Shawn Michaels is the greatest in ring performer in history.Shawn tried to have a great outstanding match every match he wrestled.Shawn and Marty Jennette invented a bunch of new wrestling moves.When Shawn retired raw was not as good of a show for a long period of time.Thats how good Shawn was.That's why I say Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels are the two greatest vwrestlers of all time.
So real. So heartfelt. The two best ever. Sadly I don't think we'll ever see anything this good in the business again. I thank you Ric for all the wonderful memories and wish you the best in your final match. You will always be the wheeling, dealing, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing son of a gun and your influence on not just this business but pop culture in general will live on forever. Ric Flair said it. Wrestling Bret Hart and Shawn are night and day and Bret Hart was no Shawn Michaels. Ric who many considered the GOAT of his era settles that argument. HBK is the GOAT of his era. Thanks to HBK performers today can be athletic innovators and dont NEED to be muscle bound.
I didn't watch Raw too much after 2012 but when Shawn Michaels retired the WWE lost alot.Just not as good.Some of that happened after Ric Flair retired from WWE too
Honestly I don't know if anybody could have done this story better. There were other guys that could have been in the role of Ric's final match but could they have done it like Shawn. Could they have given it the emotion he gave it?
Only one who could have done it justice can't wrestle anymore. Brett hart would have put on a hell of a match. Shawn was the last one from th 80s amd 90s who could really put on a show

I was 7,,Bob Clay..with tears in his eyes said,John Henry,,don't worry,,Hodge will win back the title Friday on the TV ,we should have a huge audience..Silence,my grandfather,like a child told for the 1st time,Santa Clause isn't real,His shoulders slumped,he kept blinking his eyes..he had never had moisture magically appear in his eyes,he looked in shock,,and Clay whisper John,you mean youdidn't know yet, outcomes of matches are prearranged,he finally took it in,,we never missed Thursday night at the arena,and Friday on TV,,and Since 7 years old I knew.
