Undertaker is the type of guy that would never put himself on any of these lists, simply because he's still humble after all the success he's had. As awe inspiring as the Undertaker is as a character, Mark Callaway the human being is equally as impressive.
The most I've ever seen a single fan freak out at a wrestling match was this kid (he was probably like 19 or 20, but I'm old) during Kane's walkout. And it wasn't a shocked thing, he was just fangirling over the entrance like no one I've ever seen before or since.
Royal Rumble 2007, I was 13 and for the first few entrants I even held my ears just in case. As soon as I stopped holding my ears, BOOM! And out walks, Kane and boy did I fuckin flinch
I went to Raw as a kid not long after Kane had permanently unmasked, and that exact feeling you described overwhelmed me. I literally thought I had died and gone to Hell. 😭
Every time I somehow end up with a microphone in my hand or access to a PA system, the first thing I say is, "Oh, you didn't know...!" I'll keep going until it's done, or someone mutes me. 😅
@@HamsterK37 it’s not the wrong move. Certain events like funerals it’s frowned upon but I’m honestly nervous to talk at my kids wedding cuz u know how it’s going to go
@shaunsisson1326 it's going to be the video everyone watches again later and laugh their asses off about it. The one someone pulls up during a night of drinking to reminisce about. DO IT!!
@@amyparra1881 same here when he said to ken shammrock to be very careful Also at the end of raw when he was stuck on his symbol up near the rafters laughing at austin
Undertaker's own entrance has to be on this list! The original Wild West Mortician version of the character is my personal favorite. But the new symphonic-rock version of "Rest In Peace" is my favorite entrance MUSIC for him. In every Deadman incarnation of the character, though, the rolling funeral bells, the cutting of the lights, and then the dim lighting and billowing smoke all gave such a chill up my spine. And Taker's slow, menacing approach down the ramp - or sudden appearance in the ring when the lights came back - was perfection!
For me #1 was the Road Warriors. As a 80s kid on WTBS when you saw 2 jobbers in the ring and the music started you knew 2 guys would be demolished in seconds.
Not to mention Bray's regular entrance itself. Brilliant stuff. One of the only guys in the modern era to be able to channel that kayfabe sorta vibe of mystery or etherealness or whatever you want to call it like Undertaker could
When the Rock's music starts playing and he comes down the ramp with the championship belt and he stands up on the turnbuckle and flips the belt over his shoulder and the tv camera pans around him with all the camera flashes going off in the audience..... God damn magic.
As an 80s kid, when that guitar started playing and Hulk Hogan came out, there was no bigger pop!! From there, when those bells started tolling and it would get dark and the fog would roll in for Taker, literal chills. The glass shattering for Stone Cold would make me get up out of my seat at home every time cuz i knew business was about to pick up lol.
I guess you only saw them on TV and never went to a show live? I always thought it was funny that WWF edited the entrance video so you couldn’t see or hear the crowd boo’ing Hogan. It used to be fun to watch the live event, but then rush home to watch it on TV and see how different it was. The Rock was the same way, and even Stone Cold. The last show I went to, Austin started the annoying “what” thing that he did, and it was so annoying that almost everyone left. I went home, called my girlfriend and took her out. We drove by the arena a good hour before they should have finished and the parking lot was almost empty. It’s funny how much they change the way people think the crowd is reacting.
Thats just simply not true about Austin. I went to multiple shows. Same for hogan. The only guy i remember getting booed that was supposed "popular" was Jon Cena. Anyone over 8 years old hated him. @@adamr9215
Undertaker is so right dude. When Kanes pyro went off in late 2011 i was scared shitless. Even had a nightmare that kane did the same shit to me at my house
Mine would be Hulk Hogan in the WWF, HBK before DX, Undertaker’s original gimmick entrance, and Roddy Piper when he came out with the full pipe and drum band.
Stone Cold, Kane, Triple H and the Road Warriors... Yea can't argue that. Honorable mentions: The Rock, Chris Jericho, the Undertaker of course, Vince McMahon, Eddie Guerrero Viva la rasa, Ray Mysterio, Booker T and HBK
Absolutely. Good call putting even Vince on there. It wouldn't be quite as impactful as it was if it were on a regular wrestler, but that song, the vibe of it and who actually has it makes a big difference too.
When that gong hits, then the lights go out, and the smoke fills the arena BEFORE you see Taker, that's the most chilling but amazing feeling any entrance has ever given. When titantrons were a thing, even seeing that before Taker was out of this world.
Hogan Real American. I still get goosebumps. Kane. Classic Taker with the funeral march. And whenever Piper would make a comeback and the bagpipes would start up.
Road Warriors for sure. Undertaker for being so ominous. The Rockers and Ultimate Warrior for the music and energy. Hulk because of the charisma. Barry Horowitz...
All of these wrestlers and entrances are from decades ago. There are so many iconic entrances in the modern era, why don't they mention any of them? Seth, Cody, Roman and the Bloodline, Jey Uso, Sami, all really powerful entrances that fans love to get involved with. Nostalgia always blinds people to the great stuff in the modern era!
Bill Goldberg walks out his locker room with guards, looking bad ass. Walks out and stand in the middle of his Pyro. Blows smoke out his mouth and starts punching and kicking the air with explosions. Through all that, the crowd is chanting Goldberg. Greatest Entrance Of All Time! 2. HHH 3. The Rock 4. Stone Cold Honorable mention: Stacy Keibler
@puritanave313 So his Spear wasn't the best out of all the wrestler that use a Spear as a finisher? Or a perfectly executed Jackhammer wasn't amazing to see?
Goldberg..Ultimate Warrior..Undertaker just based of the coolness of the entrance itself..Stone Cold just cause he was so over and the glass break is unreal
He’s right! All of the 90s. I got goosebumps every time I heard that glass shatter knowing Stone Cold was about to kick someone’s ass. Undertaker’s intro was also epic. Then Kane and Triple H.
My Rushmore on entrances is Taker, The Rock (current version), Stacey Keibler & Scott Steiner, & Ric Flair early version because when he started doing it (if you're old enough - NO ONE was doing that) & he DRAGGGGED it out. It was like the Moon Landing. It was a spectacle. By the 90s it was watered down. 1985 Flair was PEAK entrance. (If someone says I can't use Scott Steiner and Stacy Keibler because they are technically 2 people (even though its a singles wrestler + valet I should be fine) I substitute Hulk Hogan. The guy really started entrances & his held up from 1980 to today with only slight change (Eye of the Tiger, The Hulk theme, Real American, the NWO theme, & even Mr America). Taz had a bad ass entrance that is probably most underrated to be honest... Macho Man is up there... Ultimate Warrior for the sheer energy... Malachi (the anti-Taker) would have had a hell of a WrestleMania entrance. HBK was consistently strong. Julia Hart has a good one. Timeless Toni Storm is getting there. Charlotte Flair by proxy to her dad. Sasha Banks whenever she does cosplay. Melina/MNM the split is iconic. Jey Uso has the crowd on fire. Sami Zayn when he's hot. Edge to a lessor degree. Now I'm getting kinda low on the honorable mentions. I hope I didn't forget anyone. Punk, LA Knight, Bret Hart, LoD didnt make the cut for me. But I'm not including tag teams anyway. Id rather do a tag team entrance on its own.
I can't, bro. I CAN NOT take the best entrance of all time seriously if Goldust isn't in there. GOLDUST has the best entrance of all time. That golden glitter falling blinking black and gold with the robe walking down with Torri bruh HBK Undertaker Kane Val Venis Hardy Boyz always had a hype entrance too Crash with the scale 🤩
To be fair, all of the entrances you mentioned are enhanced by their theme, too. They just go together so well, it all comes together to make top tier entrances. Also personal bias: (Crow) Sting best entrance all time for me. Best gimmick all time for me. Just an absolute treasure.
The Undertaker didn't start in the WWF until 1990. Flair, as great as he was, was a man of the 80s. Guys like The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, and Austin wrestled in bigger arenas, in front of bigger crowds than Flair did. Flair was huge in the 80s before the internet and when cable TV was just hitting it big. In the 80s every wrestler didn't have their own music. Every wrestler didn't have their own choreographed entrance.
Stone Cold's glass shattering, Piper being accompanied by bagpipes, Sting coming down from the rafters, and Mick Foley's car crash intro that was super energetic and got you super hyped up.
I know he has a lot of hate as a wrestler, but Goldberg's entrance, with the police escort and crowd chanting was ALWAYS awesome. Plus the music sounded like a warrior marching into the Roman coliseum.
Jeff hardy has had the coolest entrances especially 2001-2003 era. Every week he was painted up different with glow paint and black lights. Also his juke dance was so cool.
BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!!!! Can't forget Jericho's Y2J entrance after the millenium countdown. One of the best ever. Judas nowadays is pretty great too. Even in WCW with his Pearl Jam Evenflow ripoff song he was great. Of course The Undertaker's entrance is probably the greatest of all time. I agree with Kane as well because it's basically Undertaker's but with fire lol.
4 years into retirement and Taker's pop hasn't faded one bit. As people say, he is "the mountain". Carved in it, are Stone Cold, The Rock, Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero. Honourable or dishonourable mentions: Benoit, Kurt Angle, Hogan, Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, Booker T, Dory Funk Sr and Jr, Terry Funk, King Lawler and Sammartino.
Real American Hogan. When that first chord comes on, the people literally trampled each other to make sure they saw him making his walk. Also you knew that someone was going to be either getting saved or someone was in a huge predicament, brother!
Man I feel like a lil kid hearing this conversation so many memories come rushing back that loud keep rolling rolling then taker pops up on a sick motorcycle man personal favorite as far as pops go probably say stone cold, rock, cena, undertaker lights off bell ding , hbk
The first time i saw Kane in person. I was like ooo here it comes... still vaught me off guard. You know its comin and still. You can feel the heat too. Its awesome.
1. American Badass 2. Ultimate Warrior (say what you will about his wrestling ability, but no other entrance had that energy) 3. Finn Balor's first Demon entrance on NXT (when the crowd starts chanting "Holy $h!+!!", you know it's something special) 4. The Brood Runner up: AJ Lee - best female entrance ever.
