My grandma had one of those guys for many many years! Last year I accidentally broke off an end and she insisted of me taking it with me! Now I have something to remind me of her... God bless her! 💗💗

I love these stories. Bless your Grandma! My grandma wasn't a plant person at all, either was my mom! Now that I am SO plant and garden, & nature OBSESSED, I wish that my mom & grandma were also. Not sure where I got it from. Haha

A Devil's backbone? Hmmm, that would go right along with where I saw this plant. It is a beautiful plant, I may try growing it and add it to my personal collection. I absolutely love the setup in the background in which terrariums with grow lights have been fashioned into an absolutely beautiful living plant environment. I want that too.

I don’t usually leave a comment because you get so many. However, I just wanted to say that the filming and editing is superb (as well as the content of course 😊). Great job to all of you working as a team to make these videos, thank you! Being a RU-vid gardening creator myself, these things really stand out to me. #goals! 👩🏼‍🌾💚

I agree! Can Aaron give an update on the camera's? Specifically, I want to know which one you carry around for vlogging. What does Laura use for stability on the video? I'm in Michigan zone 6a but I don't think overheating would be an issue. Yes, it gets humid here. All I want is to take videos of my flower beds May-Nov. It helps me to remember each year what worked and what didn't. Right now I have the Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II Digital Camera, Video Creator Kit with Tripod, Memory Card, and Detachable Bluetooth Remote, Black, small (1066C029) in my amazon cart. But haven't ordered it yet

I have a Ric-Rac Cactus that I’m about to move into a nicer (and slightly larger) pot. I usually have a green thumb when it comes to house-plants but thought I’d see if there was any further info on this cactus that may be worthwhile. I clicked on three channels before finding you. I just wanted to say what a great job you did on this video. You didn’t waste time talking about your Aunt Ethel having your cactus back in the 1940’s, or who had it next, etc, etc. You immediately dove into the important info needed about this plant, explaining about soil, watering and sunlight preference … all the important facts! What a treat your channel is; I wish you much luck in the future! Great job! 🇨🇦👍

I was given a few baby ripsalis pieces that I too was treating more like a cactus, then realized its origin of forest floor dwelling. The watering and soil too was a game changer for its happiness. I'll be on the lookout for this one now; sounds like more of a lower light plant for indoors. Thanks for sharing. ... I hope you still do the drive-thru Christmas light tour...

Yes! Sewers know that “rick rack” is a fun trim, especially for kids’ clothes or fun projects. It is woven, not ribbonish, and comes in many colors and widths. I, too, thought of your Mom’s gingerbread decorating!! Sewing and gardening provide many overlaps 🧵🪡🌺🥦
@vallietmc9553
@vallietmc9553 2 года назад
Rip rap is the term for large pieces of rock that is used next to a road to stop soil erosion. Ric rac is a sewing term of a strip of decoration and for the same shape of that 'cactus'.

I live in South Africa. They love shade and I do grow them on the branches of my old plum tree. They flower only once a year and the flowers last a day or two. However they are so beautiful when they do flower. I have white, pink and apricot ones. They mustn't get hailed on as the hail damages them making a wound which dries out and leaves a hole.
