I made this incredible cake, the only thing I did differently was I used strawberries. I took my parents a couple of pieces. My dad liked it so much he came over and got more of it. We all loved it, thanks.
You can get powdered buttermilk in most stores should be able to find it with the baking things. you have to store it in the frig after opening. It is good for all baking items that call for buttermilk and it makes the cooked item taste richer.

DUDE! I made a version of this so many times for my son, it’s his favorite! I had to figure it out, because “what cake do you want for your birthday” resulted in “chocolate raspberry!” The cake itself had dark chocolate chunks in it, lol- because duh! 9x13 pan that I cut in two layers, and a chef friend recommended using preserves on the layers… so cake then preserves then icing, the icing was a Martha Stewart recipe, lol… heavenly. Gonna try yours… but gonna add the chunks 😜

Thank you! I haven't tried using strawberries, but I think it could work. It will be a bit sweeter because raspberries are just a little more tart than strawberries. :)

I'm also naturally clumsy and goofy though, my husband says that's what he loves best about me. 😁 I made your easy chocolate cupcakes last night with your freeze-dried strawberry frosting for half of them, and your peanut butter frosting for the other half. Delicious! 😋 Soft as a cloud (obviously I've never bit into a cloud ☁️😁), but omitted the coffee for hot water, used avacado oil, cacao powder (has the vitamins that are removed in cocoa powder), and Zulka Morena pure cane sugar non-gmo. I use non-gmo everything, and only natural butter, avacado oil, unrefined organic coconut oil, and extra virgin olive oil are allowed in my kitchen. 😉 This new chocolate raspberry recipe looks divine (but no seeds). 😋 Have you ever tried dragon fruit? It has a very mild flavor and pairs amazing with strawberries, great in smoothies. Man, this sounds good. Does it have a coffee taste and is it ok to use expresso instead of regular coffee? Also, Do you have a list of bakeware equipment that you use?
It will not have a coffee flavor. The coffee helps bring out the chocolate flavor. You can use espresso, but I'd use a little less as it's a bit more potent. I do have a store on amazon you can check out. :) www.amazon.com/shop/sugarspunrun
