I spent 2 and a half years in a community college. I graduated there with an associates in Special education. Now i already transferred to a 4 year college to complete my remaining credits to get bachelors. Thanks to the community college I was able to complete most of my credits for less! Don’t ever be embarrassed if you go to community college!

Yeah I did the same thing here I went to community college first and then I transferred to a university. I think that community college is really the best thing to do and for me I didn’t do well on my SATs and I just got accepted to a community college first and from there I applied to a university that does not require me to write an essay I just had to send transcripts and a couple teacher recommendation letters and I am grateful and blessed that I got a chance to transfer to a university. So I guess community college is first! Yeah college isn’t for everyone and it’s a choice to make for each and every human being as an individual.

I agree. I've always dreamed of going to a regular college when I was a kid and a teen but with my learning disability and I realized that I wasn't cut out for it but when I was in my mid to late 20's I did go to a tech college for a few years to be an IT person but I lost my job and so I had to drop out with only 15 credits left to go. The tech college I went to was awesome though.

I went to community college and I have a successful career in the auto industry where I make tons of money. Meanwhile, some of my friends went to university and ended up moving back in with their parents. So you see............ Community College actually helped me much better than university would have ever.

Got to say, I actually went straight to a 4 year college, and I really wish now that I didn't. I was always an introvert, and ever since Covid, I've only taken this to a new level. I made absolutely no friends in college. I developed OCD on fearing about all the things to be afraid whenever I go to public (ruining my image, legal trouble, etc). And with academics in my mind, I have been unable to focus on fitting myself back into pre-covid life. Even 3 years after the pandemic was basically "over", I still quite have the "quarantine attitude", which is basically trying to stay home all day. I only leave my property less than 10% of each week (imagine if I was on house arrest but with limited time in public). I don't even consider on learning to drive for the rest of my 20s, am limiting myself on applying for part time jobs that are online, I'd have to admit I actually made a bet to someone that thanks to how I somewhat enjoyed quarantine, I could handle prison better than most people, but for obvious reasons, I hope I'll never have to find out whether I was right or not. After 3 years of suffering, losing my temper, and worrying about ruining my public image 24/7, I decided to spend 2 years in community college (which I was doing when this comment was posted), and hopefully, with less pressure and more time to reintegrate myself to society, it will allow me to feel better when I return to a 4 year one. We all have our own lives

Wow, I hope you leave this unfortunate situation. As a high schooler, I am experiencing the same thing of staying home, and not leaving the house at all until it's school day/it's an emergency item that I need to bring from a store. I am such an introvert but I really do enjoy just staying at home. It's weird because if people do the work for me (introducing themselves first) it's much more comforting and I feel less introverted around them at school, until when I go back home and never leave the house after. Hopefully I stop this soon but I doubt that, and again I really hope you can stop worrying and start leaving outside. (I am 14 years old)

Well in my opinion i’m not trying to be a bully but i think really you just got to be careful like wearing a mask washing your hands every time you cough or sneeze , after doing chores, not touching people hands as there are a lot of germs in the hands ,wash your hands after you touch a pet and when you touch a door knob also make sure to keep the place clean as there are a bunch of germs if you do not keep your place clean most importantly do not use the 5 second rule as in 5 seconds the food will have 80 percent of germs

I went to a community college for a year and a half (including two summers) before transferring to Kent State. I think that was the best decision. For those of you who do go to community college: if you maintain at least a 3.5 GPA and get an invitation to the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, accept it, as it means scholarship opportunities.

This is a good video with a good message. Saving money is very important since you never know when you'll experience losing a lot of money, losing a job, unexpected expenses, etc. A lot of homeless people used to be rich. Just because someone is rich doesn't mean they'll stay rich. Community college is a great investment because it saves a lot of money in the sense that you can take a lot of college credits towards a 4 year degree at a cheaper price than the price of a 4 year school. There's a lot of great career fields that only require a community college degree such as being a dental hygienist, respiratory therapist, engineering technology jobs, etc.

Yeah I guess this happens in real life, that parents can have a talk with their children about college and thinking of taking their own decisions whether they want to take the SATs or start at a community college, and then transfer to a university. This happens in real life that most parents out there they just can’t afford it to spend it on tuition and they would just have to go back and start all over again like taking a break from school. I guess it’s a choice to anyone if they want to go back to school whether it’s community college, trade school, university, etc. it’s never too late to go back to school and find your own path in life.

There is nothing wrong with community college. I got my nursing credentials from one of the best two year nursing programs in the state. I passed boards the first time out, and I have had no problems finding employment. I’m sure there are plenty of kids who got into Ivy League schools and flunked out!

Yeah taking math and english classes at Harvard and Yale is probably a waste unless your parents are loaded. Taking those classes at a community college and transferring the credits is smarter and saves thousands.

Being rich does not mean spending stuff on stupid stuff it mean saving your money when you can learning everyday while it is being a youtuber or a Business man or woman or doing any type of job you want to do like that instead of going to a designer store go to the thrift store or get your clothes from chein or instead of getting a new car get a used car or instead of partying every night you can learn a new skill for what you want to be when you grow up or if you are already doing what you want to do when you grow then learn more about it like there are some ways you can use your time on something that will help you in life now yes you can spend every once in a while on something fun you want to do but it just becomes a problem when you do something fun that is expensive every week

Yes, she should have listened to her friend in the beginning when she told her that "spending a lot of money doesn't guarantee success" and learned it the hard way. I would advise her until things get better for her to get her daughter moving and supportive if she wants to stay with her, she can't stand idly by while she scrambles to make ends meet, so she has to give her an alternative, one is to help her in her daily life, and another is to leave her apartment and fend for herself, it will be for her own good if she wants him to be a serious person who manages in life. 😌

Living in a trailer house isn’t bad, I’ve lived in a two story house a one story and a trailer house and all I can say is living in a trailer house is better, it’s more comfortable and everything is close together instead of having to waste time walking around and up the house and it’s surprisingly spacious.
