Join me as a take on the slightly rerouted Great North 10k. This was a really tough run but a fantastic event with superb support.
But where on earth did all those hills come from? I'm sure they weren't there last year...

Well done Rich. This was my first GN10 and I think it was the toughest 10k I've done this year, so far. Great event and Ill be back next year :)

Yes it was tough, maybe the toughest I've ever done! 4 miles of incline, lovely! Really enjoyed it though

@@maxinecottam1109 yes it felt really tough but I actually beat my previous 10k PB by 3 seconds!

Nice one, great time ! I enjoyed the different route today, I'm sure last year there was more on the Town Moor itself, sure we ran inside on that cinder/stone path section ? So I'll take the extra city centre bits any day over that ! Great marshalls and support today too.

Yes it was a bit different this year, hillier! And yes we turned into Town Moor just after 8k last year. A great event though, loved it ❤

Nce one Rich. Shame I never got to say hello, but great others did. I found that tough today, so bloody hilly after 4k. Very well done on your PB, great stuff

@@DeeJay_78 thank you, yeah it was very busy so hard to find anyone. It was tough and felt like 4 miles of constant inclines but it was also enjoyable as strange as it sounds

@@abitrich68 it’s a ‘nice’ course in so much that it’s varied and goes over tyne bridge, through town centre etc, but very tough for n the old legs. I need a flat one next time!!
