My friends and I have wondered that too at times, perhaps he is comfortable in the area he is in. Still I would love to see him on the big screen, the camera loves him.

Love it when he talks about moms and dads sitting down together to "enjoy" the show as well... hehe!! I'm pretty sure that moms are the majority of the audience and they ENJOY it without a doubt or dad :-))))))))))

It was hair extensions, but they probably used real human hair to make them look more convincing. They look a lot more real than the ones in S1 :)

@jadeyes914 Yes, he does hold a small part in Captain America, but being in an American movie doesn't mean you have broken into Hollywood stardom, and Richard doesn't seem to be the type of person who is particularly focused on just being famous, he cares more about the work he does than the fame. And anyways, the Hobbit will really be a role that can decide his future, if all comes out good, he will be an international super-star. :)

He is currently in Spooks season 8. In the Spring 2010 he will be in the drama called Strike Back, which he is filming at the moment. :)

I think RA would make a brilliant James Bond. Looks more than good in action shots, has a ruthless northern edge, wonderful expressions and voice. He certainly has hidden depths (Spooks and North South) and Britain could do with a boost in these difficult times!

I think you got the first part right. You comment just to bug Richard fans. I just don't see the point in ruffling feathers. I don't go to Jonas interviews and say how much he irritates me. It's rather pointless unless you are really trying to bug people. I have seen your comments before that say a lot of negative crap about Richard. WHY? My mom told me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Why is it that Jonas fan feel the need to come and make cracks at Richard? Richard fans don't do that to Jonas! It's called.... have a little tact and RESPECT. You are greatly mistaken if you think your hiccup of a comment will bother us, devoted RA fans. We love our man greatly and we know why we love him. And if you don't see his greatness than I feel sorry for you. Just like HD said, if you have nothing nice to say than don't say anything at all because it's pointless.

Ummm.... ooooook.... Richard has said in interviews that he takes about 20 minutes to get ready in the morning. I don't think metrosexual men take that short of a time to get ready. He doesn't come across as metrosexual to me, BUT even if he was WHO CARES? It's not like you are the one sharing a bathroom with him so you don't have to worry about it.

Well, I actually can understand 99% of what I listen to and usually what I can't understand is not so essential. I needed subtitles at the beginning, now I can do without. It's a matter of training, practice.

He will be on a one hour drama on BBC 1 on Weds May 20th at 2pm. He is currently filming Spooks and Series 3 of RH is still to finish running. There are going to be three new audio books this year. I agree, I would love to see him in a movie!

I totally agree! He started off understandably very bitter and dark but I mean come on! the episode with Meg *is that the right name* the episode when he almost gets beheaded he is definetely on the road to redemption and surely his great remorse for what he did, how he consequently lives in hell is human? I toally agree with you!

So basically, my question is, at which point in time did it become taboo for a man to actually care about and take pride in himself and his appearance? I'm sure Mr. Darcy took longer than 20 mins and no one cracked on him about it. I know it was there all into the 50's but some time after that it sort of got lost. I don't care if he takes 20 mins or 40 mins, as long as that man looks good. GO RICHARD!!!!!!

@kanzaki88 Not every actor is that into being in mainstream hollywood. In fact, many actor simply just want to act, they don't look for the whole hollywood fame. Richard is happy where he is, he enjoys his work, and if luck does come along and he finds a good script that can make him a hollywood star, then that's good for him. He was just announced to be casted in one of the lead role for The Hobbit movie, so who knows, maybe he will break into Hollywood.

I think this interview speaks for itself as to the gorgeousness that is RA and if a JA fan feels the need to promote JA here, maybe RA should be flattered. If it is a case of pot stirring, it is best ignored.

He had long hair because he was doing RH3. Now in this interview he looks like Lucas North because of Spooks but he is talking about RH. I really can't wait to see it! Credo che ci capita a tutti noi che la nostra lingua materna non é l'inglese. Io sono peruviana e a volte anche ho problemi per capire tutto quello che dicono, sopratutto gli inglesi... sembra che si mangiassero alcune sillabe nelle parole o pronunciassero completamente diverso una parola da come si scrive e si fa piu difficile identificarla....

è proprio per questo ke guardo dei video in inglese...cerco di guardare tutti i lavori di richard senza sottotitoli..per migliorarmi ma...certe volte è impossibile capirli!!gli inglesi si mangiano le parole..quando invece a parlare inglese è una persona di un altra provenienza (ad esempio djaq nella prima e nella seconda serie di robin)capisco tutto..nn capita anke a te?
