@@theprogwalrus597 I usually only get to see 47 that beat me on stage 1 before barrel rolling into a ditch attempting to make that number shorter on stage 2...
My other comment got deleted - but mika-n is also planning to release a template/tutorial in order for the RSF community to go wild with imagination and create their own Season Themes - custom cars, custom stages, custom drivers with their own custom driving style... mika deserves a raise to say the least 😂
Thanks for the showcase, we hope you enjoy the rest of the update ❤ A quick note for the folks that may read this: Recce and Test inside Rally Season is currently a bit buggy, but you can always recce a stage and test setups in the Practice mode!
Oh and yes, mika-n has plans to make up a template/tutorial so the community can go wild with their imagination and create all sorts of custom 'Themes,' which I'm sure we will have dozens posted on the RSF discord in short time 😎
@@CurtOntheRadio VR has seen giant leaps in improvements within the last 12 months... Brand new plugin by torttuP who has added several great features including foveated rendering, making RBR arguably the greatest VR experience in all of sim racing 😍
Its wild that I own the latest rally games/sims like EA's WRC and I would rather play Richard burns rally, just goes to show that the fans passion for authentic rally always shines through.
GP Laps is legit one of the best youtubers ever. nothing he does annoys me. good video, good audio, good layout, doesnt take up 25% of the screen with his face while racing, seems to know every dang thing about his subject. Every time I watch a gp laps video i want to try the same race but alas i cannot drive anywhere close to GP Laps' skill level.
Man graphics still hold to this day, I'd dare to say put a 90's cam filter over it and it would look almost real, because the color palette alone is already extremely realistic
And roads feel and look realistic and vegetation and other stuff, only if they upscaled/recreated all textures and object models slightly more detailed that would truly be amazing! But even in its original state it still lookss good.
This latest update proves the fact that RBR is as good as ever, if not better. Particularly liking the ticker which registers other drivers having problems such as hitting a rock or a rogue sheep. But Rally Buddha he say "Does this update have the Hillman Avenger, or even the celebrated Hat Guy?"
Awesome. This is definitely what I've been waiting for, ever since NGP mods first started coming out. When I play rally games, I want to do a proper full season, like irl. Surprising how many rally games don't do that. Hopefully more seasons with different tracks will come, along with different cars/classes (Wartburg!) Even the vanilla cars with NGP would be cool for an offline season Also, Jake, those 90 degree turns. Every time, man. I feel it. Always happy to see more though 💪👍
Would love to see a full season of this from you Jake! Personally I’d love to see you use the Peugeot 205 but that’s just because I love the t16!! Whatever car you use this would be amazing!
Holy heck,, this came out of nowhere for me! I missed a lot the season mode... i think i need to get back to rbr offline! It has so many cool features!
Oh wow. Me and my bro used to drive the heck out of this game back in the day. ❤ Will have to consider reinstalling this and hope my old G27 can handle some action after a long while. 😏
nice lil detail of the audi's engine hung way out in front 22:22 can see it under the cumpled bonnets damage. thats why you have to skandi flick the thing at every opertuinty you can, as its reknown for its impressive understeer.
I love the passion these guys have with RBR but I really just want the OG cars with NGP7. As always the content you provide is awesome. Have a nice rest of the week.
Really wish I had a dedicated sim setup, I can never get into this game, and can’t commit to having the steering setup connected to my work computer all the time.
Does the handbrake on the audi even work? I tried it a couple of times myself, and it doesnt really help rotating the car, like, at all. It feels like ALL wheels lock up, so you just slide in the direction you already go anyways. Might be an issue on my side.
I think thats generally the problem with it and why it wasnt used. The car physically has one, but they hadnt figure out how to detatch the drivetrain to only lock the rears I think on later quattros they found a way
Time to reinstall. I simply can't put the time into online rallies anymore. To reccie for an online rally takes too much time and in the last two year the competition got unreal. I was lucky if I got into the Top 80. 3 years ago I had some top 10 finishes, but these times are over. I'm a pretty mediocre rally driver and this offline mode could spark my passion for rally racing again.
Jake can this Rally game play in VR? ..... love the channel and your passion and knowledge. Just bought a new PC today at Micro center . Moving from a i5 with 3050 to a i9 with 4090 running VR.... Great job and thanks.
Yes you can. RBR has had a VR plugin for a long time and last year it got a new more modern VR plugin. It is naturally included in RallySimFans plugin, check it out!
Oh yes and it is very very good. Since the hardware requirements are low you can make it look super sharp and it runs perfectly smooth. I only play it in VR.
I wanted to try this, but for some reason I get some kind of error that file cannot be downloaded (404) in the installer. Is this because of traffic? Maybe someone else also got it?
thats the co-driver! He's relaying the stage notes so the driver knows exactly whats coming up. Without him you couldn't drive nearly as fast without crashing.
nice, but I cant go back to RBR after BeamNG, the physics are simply inaccurate and either too floaty/grippy, there's no weight distribution, suspension oversimplified & damage is incorrect and far too forgiving. RBR map support is fantastic tho...
