These are just brilliant. As a middle aged English guy, I've just discovered these programmes, Richard is my favourite, brilliant dialogue and the acting is just brilliant. NOT TO MENTION THE DAMES !!

My absolute favorite man is Dick Powell. My hubby says I can date Powell if he gets to date Jennifer Aniston. Since I have more of a chance at my dream than he does at his- I said sure. 😷 🐱 😇 M. Elgin.

You have to find and watch some of Powell's old movies - lots of Broadway rags to riches stories, Busby Berkeley reviews and musicals. Then he did Murder, My Sweet and a whole new career opened up for him. Then he began directing and producing... Quite the all round talent!

Yes, it was. Powell started his career as a singer and starred in a number of musicals. By this time, however, his voice had mellowed, and it was just great.
