If it is still prone to breaking greasy bits, perhaps some choice drivetrain upgrades to make it tougher and of course more power to help move the brown barn through the air a bit quicker?

Richard as an American, I’m so jealous of your Defender. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a 1991, 200TDI, British Import Defender here in the states. However, it chasing parts with their significant mark up and of course having a shop to treat Gypsy right that is challenging. I’m assuming she’s had a bit of a hard life before, and I’m just doing my best to keep her up and going. Eventually, one day I might get to a frame off restoration. She really is a wonderful old girl and deserves better than I can give her right now. Best of luck.
Have none of you heard of Mahker Landrover, just one look at their RU-vid offerings each week will give you a totally new prospective, and there could be in my view tie ups for both workshops?
Just here to say it sure would be great if we could watch Hammond’s Workshop here in the U.S. Why on earth would they block what is likely his biggest audience? Make it happen guys!

Is up to Drive Tribe now to take the Grand Tour's torch. I hope the trio continues to do some road trips and take us along. Maybe they're "too old and fat" (Jemery's words, not mine) for crazy adventures, but not for some nice road trips, hanging out, talking and enjoying cars, and messing around like always.
I remember specialist leisure fitting same stuff to Richard's old 110, think it was called buster, years ago, I have his old bull bar, off buster,in the garage somewhere! (Specialist leisure went bust, soon after) just saying.

Mike uno the rover 45 had a sports compact called the impression s which had a 1.8 turbo k -series but.... the one I have has a k20 in it because there just better
Can you still get in it with an old metal coat hanger? Do the door seals leak? Does the heater only work after a 50 mile drive. It's a workhorse not a range rover with a winch. Nice but not for me.
