I was thinking that. You can't see it clearly with either camera and especially the way they cut between them, but you still get a glimpse of the speed and power it recoils with. Lucky nobody was in its path. Easy way to loose an eye.
I recently (Nov 2021) did a 1,000 road trip through Colombia and after days of searching I found this very path The Grand Tour took. Crossing these bridges was FANTASTIC! Hats off to Richard for doing it in that truck! I did it in a POS rental car. Though I will say it wasnt quite as high as Jeremy and Richard claimed it was (40'), but none the less, if you fall, as Jeremy said "What bloody difference does it make?" The one with the rails perpendicular was twice as high but not as long. The incredible thing is the locals use these old tracks everyday and even a repurposed School bus used for public transportation crosses these bridges twice a day. The area is very rural and they never see tourists, so please don't ask me where it is exactly as I feel it should remain that way.
If your name is Richard Hammond never take an advice from anyone with a name that starts with J to solve a problem (conclusion of the trio's friendship)
There is literally a comment below this one "its scary that people take everything Clarkson says seriously when hes clearly talking shit for entertainment"
Funny how May says you don't use someone else's engine. I seem to remember that he got his Suzuki stuck on the ramp of a raft in Bolivia and I could have sworn he needed a pull.
I think the P45 would be a great choice, or maybe the P50. Better yet, how about the Reliant Robin lol. Nevermind, Oliver might be the best, it's the only thing he'll love, cherish, and talk to. He won't chop off any of its bits, it's pretty much his wife lol
They don't make midget cars that size. That was just a regular pickup truck with 16 inch wheels and with tires 20inch. The ladder was actually a step you give your children for brushing teeth at bathroom sink. Poor wee man
I wonder, given Clarkson is fairly conservative (but not generally as conservative as the TV shows suggests he is), does his mocking comments about well-off "lightweight socialists raising awareness" mean he has even less respect for centrist "third way" neoliberals like Tony Blair than true socialists?
Tbh you don't get a Panda in Italy because you can't afford any better or you want to make some statement, you get one because they simply are the best cars to get around in most Italian towns.
It scares me a bit that people are genuinely stupid enough to think “oh wow Clarkson really is a genius!” When he is very clearly talking shit for entertainment.
@@AA-rc1ny Blair is a centrist neoliberal, part of the "third way" movements of Labour parties that moved them towards US Democrats-style politics in order to appeal to moderate conservative voters. What Clarkson was mocking were affluent liberal people who weren't really socialist at all. The "Labour Right" faction.
😂😂 Lol 0:24 - Jeremy clarkson : & Drive it out, using THE ENGINE? James May : It's a good idea, cos what you DON'T DO when you drive a car 🚙is use the engine in someone elses car. Use the 1 in your own car. Jeremy Clarkson : Yes
Kinda shocking to see how much they've changed, and this clip is definitely not from their healthiest period, they look better now, well, Jeremy looks a little rough around the e..verything
Well this is an entertainment show that specifically sets up extreme situations and adventures for them to drive each of their cars/trucks through so “ruining” it is kind of part of the whole premise and most of the time even if the car is literally falling apart and barely running they will do whatever it takes to fix it enough to make it to the finish which is the exact opposite of suggesting they just wastefully throw them away or don’t put it to good use. Also, it really has nothing to do with whether you have a truck like that or not because it’s not like they (or anyone else) can magically just give you one for no reason like Santa Claus just because you really want it and don’t think they deserve it instead. That truck is from like 1997 and there are a lot newer used trucks everywhere that people want to sell and you could probably find one that’s at a low price and then you can put in the work to repair it and add the custom over the top monster truck Florida-esque flames or whatever else over time to make it exactly like his or however you want it to be anyways. 🔥🔥🤷🏻♀️
