SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE CELEB INTERVIEWS! Emmy-Winner Jake Hamilton talks with director Clint Eastwood and the stars of Richard Jewell -- Paul Walter Hauser, Kathy Bates, Sam Rockwell and Jon Hamm!
Paul Walter Hauser did a good job on the accent in this movie. I immediately checked to see where he grew up (Michigan) after I left the theater. I am a life-long Southerner and even lived in Georgia in 1996 and for a few more years after. The Georgia accent was great. It did not make me flinch a bit. I would love to know who he worked with to get the accent down. The movie also felt real in depicting middle-class Southern culture back then. Eating too much, simple, hearty home-made meals, sitting around drinking Bud and talking, the importance of Coke to Georgians and Southerners before the anti-sugar movement, the joke about guns - it felt pretty real. Good acting by Bates. Good acting by Hauser. Hamm is just so John Hamm that it is hard for me to see him become a character, but he was pretty good despite that. Sam Rockwell did a good job in a role that did not challenge his range. Pretty good movie. I hope everyone sees it.
Love ❤️ you Mr. Eastwood, I never miss any of your movies, you would be the ⭐️star and the only one star ⭐️ I would want to meet Your a legend for all. The Good the Bad and the Ugly!! PS I love the taste of all your music!! Thank You Mr. Eastwood love you...
The fact that Kathy said "excuse me" after semi-interrupting Jon elevated her so much in my eyes. We need more examples like that of civility and manners!
Clint Eastwood.. your still the man.. making killer movies.. just amazing work you put out their for our entertainment.. thank you for what you've done for the outcome of Hollywood movie's. Two thumbs up.. don't stop my friend..
Man, I watch a lot of interviews spanning many different genres and mediums, but I gotta say: This interviewer was great. Asked concise, deep questions that gave these actors an opportunity to soul search and reveal some stuff. Props. I hope he gets a bigger platform. Also: Clint Eastwood rules.
He turns 90 next year. I hope he does a great movie that will cap off his legacy somehow, one that's much better than his recent output. I don't like him much as a person but there's no doubt that he will be missed when he dies, both personally and because of the impact his films have had.
@@BR-dy1ie When he was younger he had a reputation of being a cheater, having lots of mistresses and even fathering children with them. The way he treated Sondra Locke was also terrible, even if one of the main claims she made against him in that lawsuit she filed against him wasn't true. Whilst I can accept that he grew out of this behaviour, I haven't seen many signs of regret from him. I don't think he's a bigot or a jerk, but I don't think he's quite made up for his past mistakes. The Mule definitely seemed like it was trying to be about that, yet it also had two scenes of implied threesomes between him and younger women, which felt massively egotistical. So I have no clue what to think.
