“There is a bomb in Centennial Park. You have thirty minutes.” The world is first introduced to Richard Jewell as the security guard who reports finding the device at the 1996 Atlanta bombing-his report making him a hero whose swift actions save countless lives. But within days, the law enforcement wannabe becomes the FBI’s number one suspect, vilified by press and public alike, his life ripped apart. Reaching out to independent, anti-establishment attorney Watson Bryant, Jewell staunchly professes his innocence. But Bryant finds he is out of his depth as he fights the combined powers of the FBI, GBI and APD to clear his client’s name, while keeping Richard from trusting the very people trying to destroy him.

@@mixon7730 Very few people know about this, especially people in the media. If they did, they wouldn't keep making the same mistake. There are thousands of Richard Jewels out there (Covington kids, Duke lacrosse), but you can't expect the media to tell you about their most monumental f*ckups.

I found out about this horrible story a year or so ago ad so glad his name will be cleared to everyone who still thinks he did it. They ruined his life, he died in his 40's and im sure the stress and all he went thru affected him alot.

Atari Dad Yes, the majority of it should. They push false narratives 93% of the time. Every MSM Station has an opinion and are biased for something and/or someone, and they make sure they push it to everyone. One of CNN’s head workers was caught on camera saying that they do push false narratives and bias against Trump. It’s pretty unbelievable that they can’t respect their president, especially one who is helping our country with record breaking numbers.

I pre ordered the movie on amazon. Movie theatres in Colorado Springs took away the movie less than a month later. I really want to see the movie. Hope it’s great movie

I teared up every time Kathy Bates was on screen. Poor momma, just wanted to hug her every time. But I balled my eyes out in 3 seperate scenes she had. She was brilliant in this.

I remember when this happened. I was a young teenager but even then I had my doubts that Mr.Jewell was the one who planted that bomb. It was horrible event and how the media treated him like crap afterwards.

A very disturbing movie...It really raised my blood pressure seeing how he was treated. It was sickening. I'm very glad this movie was made- It NEEDED to be made...to show the world what really happened, and how the Female Body Inspectors treated him. They turned him into Public Enemy number One.

I just watched this movie, and I was happy that he was exonerated from any culpability. But, it was sad to see that the Bureau was doing then what it is doing now to our president. I lost complete trust in this institution, in the movie they did everything possible to frame Richard, doing whatever it takes. The bad news is that they can do the same thing to any of us. I wonder how many innocent people are in prison right now because of false accusations, and the lack of competence in doing the right investigation, they went for the low hanging fruit. God save us from this and the media.
