Richard Sherman and Menken have won a combined 10 Academy Awards for their work with Disney, and have composed music and songs for more than three dozen Disney feature films, over two dozen Disney Park attractions, and half a dozen Disney musicals on Broadway.

God bless the Sherman Brothers. Salutes to Richard Sherman, who has passed today at the age of 95. Rest peacefully Sir. Your energy was unmatched. I hope you and Bob are happily reunited in the next life.

RIP Richard M. Sherman. Being in this concert with Mom beside me is one of my all-time favorite memories. While I never personally interacted with him, he did stand right next to me in that Trader Sam’s bar by the Disneyland Hotel. I glanced at him and quietly geeked out. He was very happy to check out the place, but I didn’t bother him. Thanks for recording and uploading!

My twin sister and I were born in 1953. Every Sunday we took our bath, put on our PJ's and at 7 p.m. we (on our one and only TV set in black and white) watched Walt Disney or The Wonderful World of Color. Had a rough childhood, but always looked forward to seeing Disney!
