This originally a letter Richard wrote to his actress wife while she was making a film in S. Africa. She thought it was so beautiful she told Richard he should make it into a song, fortunately he did.
This song is a beautiful majestic masterpiece. Fablous. And Harri I was the same I played it constantly over and over. It's so amazing a devine composition. I still get on a trip and playing over and over. I'll be 70 my birthday it means as much now as it did 35 years ago when I was 35.

There is a live version available from the concert which started off this video. He's as good live as on recording. He has had some amount of hits both for himself and written for other artists.
