Richard Murphy visiting SSoA and giving a lecture about the work of the Italian architect Carlo Scarpa. Scarpa's projects, particularly at the Castelvecchio in Verona and Querini Stampalia in Venice has been pivotal in defining contemporary approaches to architectural conservation and re-use. RIchard Murphy is acknowledged internationally as an expert on Scarpa's work and has published several books that analyse his different projects.

This is an absolutely incredible lecture on an architect I have been obsessed with, I'm looking forward to the book.

I would always glimpse and look at scarpa's work. Now I dream and relive it with this professor's explanation. ❤❤❤

1 a diferent aproach on how to work on pre existing buildings. 2 ways to detail elements of building. Combining diferent materials. That decoration is actually important
