Richard Rogers Architect of Millennium Dome, Lloyd's of London and Pompidou Centre dies at 88, 

Richard Rodgers was the praised British architect who was one of the forces behind the Pompidou Center Paris Designed later London s Millennium Dome Dead. He was 88 years old.
Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners, the company he founded, confirmed his death in a statement on Sunday.
“He was an equally polite and sincere person who devoted himself to architecture, urbanism, urban life, political commitment, the arts and sciences of positive social change,” said the partnership.
Rogers was a member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, receiving the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2007, the highest award in architecture. In addition to the iconic Pompidou Center he designed with Renzo Piano, his work included Lloyd’s Building in London and Terminal 4 at Barajas International Airport in Madrid.
