I lost it at 1:13 “he’s young, he sat behind Aaron Rodgers”. What!? Brock Purdy is only 23 and didn’t have 3 seasons to learn behind a future HOF QB. Purdy had to learn from veteran Jimmy G and a QB just as fresh as him, Trey Lance. Purdy gets thrown to the wolves while Jordan Love gets a nice soft cushion. Cmon man.

Nobody talks about the fact that this young quarterback basically had no offseason work after the surgery......just came into camp and done his job.

It’s the first time I heard anyone else say the niners would not choose any other QB over Purdy if they have to draft over again, other than Mahomes. I definitely agree, Purdy is the most cerebral QB in the league and he’s the most accurate. He’s a legit top 10 QB.

Brock isn’t an athletic freak. He is insanely good at processing. I don’t know if I had ever seen a QB throw with more anticipation. He literally sees the play before any of us do. I’ve seen QBs do it here and there but he does it so consistently. Him and Mahomes are probably best at processing currently

What Brock has done this year has been awesome. no one has a perfect season, everyone has a bad game at some point. Brock has been Brilliant this year. If the defense doesn't show, will that be Brocks fault? Sherm has to be the most honest and fair analyst who deals in facts not fiction.

Sherm is spot on! I don't understand why Keyshawn and other analyst who played the game can't give Purdy his props. Sherm is right. It's a no-win situation. How does someone be a front runner for 80% of the season, have 1, did I say 1 bad game, and 3 games later, be called a liability? Our defense has had a problem stopping the run all season. Our weakest link is not Purdy, it's our defensive coordinator. If we had one of the previous two DC's that are now head coaches, our defense would be #1. Our DC rushes 4 the entire game with no stunts, maybe 1 blitz, no extra rusher and it has caused our defense to be too predictable. Keyshawn keeps saying Purdy won't get the love because he was not a 1st or 2nd round pick. He don't even realize he's stating WHY Purdy should get the love. The last pick of the draft, not expected to make any team, and two years in a row takes his team to the NFC Championship! Over 1st round qb's! Whaaaat! That's why he should be getting props. Who cares where you were drafted. It's how you play when you get on the field.

I'm 55 and live in NY been watching football since I was 10. I've been a faithful 49er fan since the 1982 NFC Championship Game 49ers vs Dallas. I was a JETS fan when I was a Kid but had to route for the 49ers In 82 cause my older brother was and still is a diehard Dallas fan. During that time span I have never witnessed or heard the level of hatred and mis information toward a player in the NFL like I've seen with Brock Purdy. The only player I can think of that would come close would be Tebow and in all honesty that was fair. Its got to be for the ratings cause nothing else makes any sense!
