+solonyg But that was not the read. He wasn't open, no matter how good of a throw there just was not a window. With 28 seconds left and two time outs he had the dump off to the running back. The tight end right in front of Wagner (although B-Wagz was watching Kap's eyes) and #11 on the line of scrimmage on the other side who could have caught it and ran for 5-yards or so before stepping out of bounds. Or he runs and tries to break a tackle. But he was locked on Crabtree ALL THE WAY and forced it where it never should have been thrown. Thank you Colin! You're the man!

Yeah. It was the most entertaining/intense game I’ve ever seen as a fan. I miss the whole rivalry between the two teams. It was a wicked time to be a fan of either team. Seahawks have been a frustrating team to be a fan of the last few years. Bad coordinators, weak drafts that usually don’t even involve 1st round picks, bad free agent signings etc.

This is all on Kap: 31 seconds, on their 18, 2 timeouts. No need to get it all in one play. If he knew how to go through his progressions, he’d have taken the safe play of Quinton Patton on a quick hitch or the quick out to Vernon (both routes were to his left, the side he hates to throw towards). Get a few yards, maybe get out of bounds (or burn a timeout), live to play another down. Instead, to prove a point, and mainly because Sherman was firmly inside of Kap’s head because of how easy it was to pick him off, decided to take the low-percentage pass to Crabtree while blanketed by Sherman which led to the end result here.

A truly underrated terrible decision. They had 30 second and 2 timeouts to go 20 yards, Why on first down would you challenge the best corner in the game? He had #11 WIDE open for a screen on the left hand side. A game the 49ers could have easily won, and maybe even the Super Bowl as well

Watching this play back is kind of crazy. Kap could’ve dumped it off to Garcon, threw sideline to Vernon, or even threw to that receiver running down the middle of the field, but he seemed to force it to Crabtree. It was still a great throw, just great defense by Sherman. Such a memorable moment, this game was so good

Five years later, I still remember jumping out of my chair in a victory pose as soon as it left Kap's hand. I knew that the fade pass against Sherman is what he LOVES to defend. It's practically a bait move for him (long arms). He didn't disappoint.

What kills me about this play is if you stop it at 00:02 right as he releases the ball there are FOUR wide open targets, one streaking to the endzone, and he never looks at any of them and makes the most risky pass and ignores them all. Two have a shot at the endzone (one wide open on the post) and two who would easily get out out bounds., and Gore who likely would have taken an easy checkdown to the house.

Should have thrown it to Anquan Boldin at least once in those 4 attempts. Harbaugh always depending on Crab to get that goal line fade in the championship downs, did it in the superbowl too the year before. Anquan would've caught that.
