If I could talk to Richard Simmons, I would tell him that he was the only person who could motivate me to get up off the couch to dance to the oldies while he was on that screen. I would come home from work change clothes, pop in any one of his tapes and work it out. Wouldn't matter how tired I was. It was 1996 & I was getting married in 1997. I never stopped loving it, enjoying it, and benefiting from Richards fabulous energy & voice. Honestly, Richard has never been out of my prayers. So valuable in my life. When he vanished from our lives, so much worry about his well being. It's so good to know he is doing well. I owe you so much, Richard, I would be happy to know that you know how important you have been in so many lives. Thank you for years of giving us so much of yourself. You're the best. I met Richard in Philly, back in the 90's by mere chance. We had passed by him and I had first hand glimpse of his genuine charismatic charm. He started swirling around me touching my then long hair, telling me how beautiful it was, joking if it was even real. This man's energy draws a crowd like nobody's business! 🫶 Truly a sweet man with jokes ready to pull from his pockets to make you smile. 🙏 Respect💜

I met him in Portland Maine many many years ago face to face. I did not whack out because he was there. I did not jump forward to grab him or reach out to touch him. He was so close I could of stepped forward and kissed him on his cheek! He is gorgeous! The spirit this man has inside of him is beyond anything I've ever witnessed! His aura is not like Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley. Those 2 men had woman and well you know people lusting after them. Richard is different. He was born to be a advocate for people who had the same issues as him. And his wonderful to people! His smile really does light up a room! I've never seen so many morbidly obese people get up out of their wheel chairs and move. I took my friend as a present. She was back than in a wheel chair and just sat and enjoyed the show. Now she has lost a ton of weight. She went and had the operation for it. I'll tell you When I got the chance to get tickets to that show. I was the happiest person around. And I have a lot of real photos to show it. Richard Simmons will out live a lot of people in spirit!

RS is someone who has dared to live his best life and shared his outlook in life with so many others. Anyone can see he worked hard and was completely honest which is so rare. If you go back and watch his shows, his exercise people were just normal looking, everyday people. They also looked like they were having fun exercising. He motivated people to exercise, accept themselves, and enjoy their own fitness. I'd describe Simmons as the Mr. Rogers of exercise.

I am so glad for this. I have been worried about him ever since his disappearance.

I've never really related to Richard Simmons but I really can't understand why anyone would make fun of him to the point of it causing him to retreat from public life. The ones who are making fun have a lot of bad stuff going on with them and I guess it makes them feel better about thiemselves to tear down someone who is an easy target.....that says a LOT more about them that it does about Richard.

I was very young but I still remember when he was on General Hospital and the nurses would all go workout with him during their lunch break/after work! Glad to see Richard is doing well. I hope the press leaves him alone and I hope the biopic that is trying to be made is not. He has requested privacy for ages, leave the man alone. Be well, Richard!

This actually could help him, not for fame, but to help him and other people to be more positive. He did go out of his way to help many, many people.
