Irresistibly fascinating, compassionately insightful interview/conversation that flew by... invites follow ups... what an outstanding, memorable edition. Finding universality in the idiosyncratic Beale legacy -- that is a remarkably transcendent take on the extraordinary story that indeed phenomenally endures. Happy Birthday Week and Month to brilliantly multi-hyphenated entertainer Richard, and here's cheers to his multiple creative gifts, ever-evolving artistic endeavors, inspiring optimism, inspired realism, humane social conscience, and heartwarming connectivity. 👏🎈 🎉🎂🍰🎵🗽📚🎭🎟️🎫🎥📽️📺🎙️🎤🕊️🌎 🌍❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Thank you all for this engaging gathering: consummate host Richard, his indispensable production family, captivating guests Jerry and Tony, invaluable sponsors, and appreciative viewing community. @@RichardSkipperCelebrates You're welcome, Richard, and thank YOU for all you do! I've helped with numerous charities, including the AIDS Emergency Fund; the Entertainment Community Fund during the 2020 lockdown; the Marin Humane Society through recent years; The Little Jim Club at California/Pacific Medical Center in SF since 1984 for pediatric research and care; SF Symphony education programs; SF Symphony Symphonix during Oscar seasons with Jan Wahl; UNICEF with dearly-missed Audrey Hepburn in 1992 (we were slated to reunite annually); Natural Resources Defense Council with Robert Redford since 2001; Stars for Life with Michael Douglas; SF Volunteers (corporate employees tutoring school children) with Pat Conroy; REAF where beloved Carole Cook inimitably brought the house down repeatedly during the gala finales through the years; etc. I'm awaiting additional results from yesterday's medical checkup appointments, and there's a possibility of the beginning of glaucoma developing in the right eye, which is already irreparably internally impaired due to hemorrhaging eroding the retina; externally unnoticeable. I hope your week is going well! We all can't get enough of listening to remarkable Jerry Torre!
If not for RuPaul’s drag race & my favorite Queen Jinkx Monsoon winner of her season playing LiL’ Edie on the Snatch Game to a T!!! His portrayal of Ms Lil Edie lead me to researching the beautifully ugly story of the Beales. I’ve watched anything associated to these two beautiful women. I can’t get enough of them & anyone related to this remarkably fashion famous story. From poverty to fame. A dash of schizophrenia/genius singing/acting talent was remarkable!!! 💜 P.S. Their weaknesses lead them to their strengths of surviving in this very cruel world. Most would think, why I’d never set foot in a home like that, let alone lay on those mattresses covered in cat pee/feces & fleas, sooooo we think. Put yourself in their shoes & their horrific way of living allowed them to sing & dance throughout the film & their lives joyfully as if it were still the original 28 room mansion. If not for Mr. Onasis intervening via Mrs. Jackie K O, these two women would’ve perished sooner via the mold & unsanitary way they were forced to live. They were true survivors of their time. What a STORY!! What a STORY!! Who’da thought a drag show would lead me to the history of the Beales. The other documentary that included Mr. Warhol, goes deeper into the cleaning process of 7-8 rooms to avoid eviction. If this story hadn’t of made the papers, the outcome would’ve been sad. I watched the musical which gave me chills & ohhhh boy when they sang , The Corn Song I lost it, in a joyful way. It’s truly a story that needs to be shared in schools, the more you watch the more film to be found to extend this beautiful story. They lived happily & died happily (as Big Edie desired, “in her home”. Her flesh world in that home carried her into our eternal home as she so desired. If I had the chance to meet Lil Edie I would’ve sent her 100’s of eyeliner pencils & bags of makeup. I know she would’ve cherished/appreciated them all. I love the Beales & anyone associated with this story. (Excuse my grammatical errors, I had a stroke a couple of years ago & am typing on my phone with one finger) looking into getting a desktop to sit comfortably at my desk & learn how to blog & share this story with millions more. It a story that MUST be told. What life can’t supply you with can be attained in our minds. 💜 Big Edie 💜 LiL’ Edie

Thank you for taking the time to type this out on your phone, and with one finger, no less! Your last sentence says it all, in the most profound way. BTW~ you'll love a simple, laptop. You can enjoy RU-vid at your breakfast table, with music & visuals and from there, you can enjoy the music outside, entertainment through lunch & dinner, all through the day! Walmart has an HP Laptop for around $300.00 (maybe less), that works great! It's big enough to type on, but not so small, that it's difficult to see. I'd say, you should get at least a 15" screen (give or take a couple inches). Thanks again, for commenting, Ditzy K. You're a real prize! 🌞💙💚💛🧡❤🌞
