A saw this when Channel 4 broadcast it in the late 80s- I was probably 18 or 19. Didn't love everything about it but "Knife", "Spell" and "Jump" or brilliantly played here.
Crowded Room is one of his stand-out albums -- hardly a duff song on there, a stark contrast to the few albums that resulted from his partnership with Mitchell Froom which nearly all (apart from Mirror Blue) had two or three classics each but also a lot of mediocre or downright unpleasant material.
