That Thunderbolt is at the Richardson Police station on Greenville Ave. and Main Street (Belt Line Rd). The building has been torn down and now has a new one in it's place. Sadly, the Thunderbolt got taken down. Hopefully it got rescued by a siren enthusiast, or got sent to another city that needs a siren, and did not end up getting junked. Just if you want to know, Richardson now has Federal Signal 2001-130 sirens. Before that, there were mostly T-128 sirens by American Signal Corporation. Before the Tempest 128 sirens being installed around 2005 were the Federal Signal Thunderbolt sirens like the one in this video. Richardson also had at least two Federal Signal 2T22 sirens in their outdoor warning system.
Remember the FS Thunderbolt 1000T that was at Fire Station #56? Right there at Fretz Park?? I used to go to Highland Academy (the small private school with the blue, low-hanging roof), which was right across from Richardson West High School, and every first Wednesday of the month at Noon, you could hear that sucker all up and down Belt Line Rd! Used to scare the bejesus outta me as a kiddo lolol. I think they took it down around 2010 or so; not too sure...
