How I got into sirens: It all began during the summer of 2007 when my 4 year old self heard the tornado sirens while playing in the back yard. I can’t be absolutely sure, but from what I vaguely remember, it sounded like thunderbolts and whelens. The sounds of these sirens where scary, yet interesting to me. I asked my dad what it was and he said they are the “tornado alarms”. One day most likely around 2009 my mom and I were driving to the zoo and I saw something that I thought was a big speaker. (It was a 2001 that’s gone now) In 2013, my mom and I decided to make a channel that was called owscrazy, I Later changed it to OWS Crazy1.
Hey Man! So i know you got my message from instagram..i was gonna tell you if you wanted to record a siren on the first week of August, but if thats okay with you, just let me know!
This is the most spine chilling sound ever knowing that it's original intended use was for alerting people of inbound nuclear warheads to the US , but now these days people use air raid sirens for severe weather alerts.
This reminds me of the eight-port mini siren that I made. Something similar happened to it. When I was testing it, its motor heated up and its shaft also heated up, which led to the gear that connected the motor to the rotor melting, which led to it colliding with the stator and completely destroying it. It was a very terrible thing for me. Although it only works on 12 volts
@@OWS_Crazy1 womp womp for the thunderbolts. I did have a Texas tornado siren map, and they did say that they had two thunderbolts. But sadly they are inactive, like you said.
