He had a bit of an up and down start as we all expected. We heard some really good things out of camp, but we saw some deficiencies technically coming out of Florida and those things showed up in the first preseason game.
Back here on Studyball and earlier in the week, we took a look at the top two quarterbacks taken in the draft: Bryce Young, CJ Stroud. Today, let’s get into the number three quarterback taken by the Indianapolis Colts, Anthony Richardson. You see the talent and ability but you have to be able to tighten up some of the technical stuff to make the throws that he is supposed to make. But still some really good things to build off of.
Saw some really good things there. One of the things I liked was how defined he was when he knew when he wanted to make a throw. Got his feet set and got the ball out of his hands. Technique was an issue once again. That’s something he has to continue to work on and improve on because we can’t miss some of those throws he missed in this game. Have to be more accurate with his feet because that is what’s going to cause the accuracy with the ball. But I liked the decision making, thought process, the way he worked through the things we saw on tape. Now let's get the feet and technique connected to it and we have a chance to have a good year! #anthonyrichardson #indianapoliscolts #nfl
