Sounds like Bo is close. If Sean Payton's scheme is designed around short passes based on good decision making, we should have a great match for Bo Nix and Sean Payton. Go Bo!!!!!!
only 1 player in recent history has had huge scrambling success and that's Lamar Jackson. Hope Caleb learns to play the game behind the line or he will be done in short order
Those low attempts might come to play before he gets comfortable in the beginning. Hes not afraid of contact so thats good💪😎 he steps into a collapsing pocket (Wilson did not)🔥🔥🔥accuracy is ok but his follow through technique is crazy smooth. Being compared to Mahomes already says to me that he's about to become BO FKN NIX!!! GO BRONCOS
Once he realizes how Justin can go up and attack the ball in the air he will learn to arc a lob. If he wants to be great. That power throw is perfect for Addison if he can get it in front of him
Atlanta Top Brass has learned from their past lessons and made a quantitative decision. The NFL is a Trillion Dollar Business and the lesson is NEVER UNDERESTIMATE PURPOSE EXPECTATION . WELCOME TO ATLANTA (MPJ) and all the new draft picks in the 2024 NFL draft for the Atlanta Falcons .CHESS NOT CHECKERS 🏆🇺🇸
In my opinion A lot of people do not see that everything that could go wrong for Penix went wrong against Michigan and his only really bad play was the interception to start the second half. The Starting running back was injured, the O-line and receivers all had horrible days, and the Michigan secondary was allowed to blatantly hold and interfere all game long. If you remove the throw to start the second half all of his other misses involve a bad route by the receiver or a Michigan defender pulling with a fist full of jersey not allowing the receiver to make it to the correct spot. How can people watch the tape and say Penix lacks anticipation, reading the defense, or throwing receivers open. The stat about Penix having a low rating against pressure is missing the forest for the trees. He throws the ball away instead of scrambling around playing playground hero ball that works in college but does not work in the NFL consistently. He also passes the ball so quickly that pressure does not get to him as often but when he faces pressure it is usually a defender in the backfield right after the snap when a QB has almost no chance to create a positive play. He drops the ball in the bucket time and time against while placing the ball in a tiny window to a well covered receiver. He manipulates the safeties and launches the ball accurately. The ball flies out of his in ways that you do not see from any of the other QB's in this draft. The Other QB's in this draft are one read and scramble right now. The Other QB's in the draft could not even hit receivers on out routes and corner routes with no defense at their pro days. Pro days are not very revealing about long term success or failure but some of the misses were ugly from other 1st round QB's.
This is elite content that deserves significantly more views. No hyperbole. No hot takes. Just pure, objective analysis from a HOFer. Thanks for doing these!
Kurt keeps giving him credit for processing but this a game against one of the worst defenses in the NCAA AND in an offense that Williams has played in for 3 years.
In the NFL, especially who his WR will be, will make those catches. Brett Favre also threw the ball like that and he turned out to be pretty good from what I remember. The NFL is way faster than college. He's NFL ready. He's only ever lost 1 game as a starting QB. College and high school as a starter. Some guys are just winners and this kid seems to have it. With the talent we have, it's the perfect fit.
Note to producer …. Either get a MUCH larger TV or switch to monitor. Viewers don’t care to consistently see the presenters, but DO desire to clearly see what is being discussed.
Absolutely no idea how McCarthy will do in the NFL. I’m hoping that KOC believes in him and that he can develop over time. I don’t see deep ball accuracy. I don’t see him feathering the ball at each level. I see too many throws that seem to have too many elements of luck involved. He may be the perfect clay to mould into a great QB with KOC being the ideal artist. Vikings will need to give him time, but also accept if Darnold starts the season and plays at a high standard. He deserves as much of a chance to start because he’s only 26 and this is his first chance to prove himself.
My comments about JJ being the best UM QB of all time have aged well. Casual fans don't know about JJ because his stats weren't as high playing for a 'run-first' team like UM. Its only after people study his tape they realize how good he is. Fast forward 5 years and people won't know who was drafted before him.
What people don’t get is Michigan has always been a run first program no matter WHO is the quarterback and just because he wasn’t putting up gaudy numbers doesn’t mean he isn’t the greatest Michigan Qb ever what he did to bring Michigan back to greatness alone shows the kids a damn good leader , will he have stuff to work on ? Hell yeah but so does every rookie
Idk I don't think he's going to be a franchise QB unfortunately. He doesn't seem to be a natural passer. He can throw and knows what he's supposed to do but it doesn't look natural or next level. I truly pray that ik wrong. I think Nix is going to be better.
Nobody knows how good a qb is going to be in the NFL. If everyone knew Tom Brady would have been the first pick! I would like to see you break down his college games. Lol
His completions weren't good enough for you ? You weren't the best QB ever. He is a college player coming to the NFL. Obviously he has things to work on.
He'll be a good project QB for Kevin O'Connell, which I'm sure will produce good results. Will he turn out to be a top 10 Quarterback in the NFL? Only time will tell.
