This is possibly a better indicator of national "power" then GDP as its the countries net profit up to the year mentioned. In effect country vs country this is the amount of total funds a country technically has at its disposal (country overall not just government....as governments invariably use "war bonds" in major wars this becomes relevant). As the US since WW2 has been the hegemon they are the greatest "target" that rival powers aim for...while US has huge head start, a major war will likely involve them in a central position (comparable to say British Empire in WW1/WW2..this time USA will likely be more directly involved from the outset and could well come under attack directly quite early on as Russia/UK no longer can act as much of a buffer). If China can keep the conflict relative close to her shores (thus not needing as much expeditionary capacity initially), then wear US down (by having greater wealth at their disposal) likely China could take Hawaii and even go for the mainland. This is all in US dollars of course, but I don't doubt all major powers let alone China will be watching exchange rates closely and will seek to have the most reliable currencies...if more countries start wanting to break away from being de facto told what to do by USA, US dollar will lose its power and US will effectively become bankrupt in any major conflict with a major power very quickly (even worse then UK in WW2 probably). NATO allies, Australia, New Zealand won't be of much help in Pacific once China ramps up military production, China should be able to handle South Korean Navy and Air Force and then leave North Korea to handle the rest, then hold the line in western Pacific while wearing down Japanese Navy and blockading major Japanese ports, this just leaves US Navy which by this time bulk will be in Pacific (with only a defensive force in Atlantic) but if China becomes smart enough quickly enough in naval warfare they should be able to defeat US Navy in western Pacific and if they can continue to keep up production in mainland China/Taiwan Hawaii will then be under great threat.
