So much to take away from this video years later especially in terms of how his sound, technique, and mindset has evolved to today. Richie is a class act and true artist. So many people want to compare him to Chris Cornell - but if I were Cornell and alive today I would look at this and everything Richie as done since and honestly say "I am not on this guy's level as a complete artist". Cornell = amazing vocalist Kotzen = amazing artist I am not at all knocking Cornell and love him to death as well. I am just saying those who put him are putting Kotzen in the same space just haven't taken the time to understand who Richie actually is - and drives me nutz lol.
I really liked when he had the Cornford sound. It was so smooth. "Get Up" had a great sound to it. It was in your face and so good. "Slow" had a great tone too.
Does Richie always have his amp on the floor. I do, I just prefer the sound around the floor. I’ve always done that and find I can balance my volume with the rest of the band.
IMO, Richie's signature Tele is almost the perfect guitar... It's GORGEOUS, it has comfort cuts, it has great pickups and circuitry. I just wish it was lighter weight and had a little thinner neck... Then, I would HAVE to have one! I guess I'm gonna have to make my own "Franken-Tele".
Ahaa, Richie explains how he makes magic with his awesome Telecaster!! This is a great info and thanks for the awesome video!! The man and his working guitar!!! He doesn't need all of those kinds off models with brandnames and shit!! He is a hardworking down to earth guy with normal stuff that works for him(and me too) awesome!!! Just awesome!!!!
He did design that guitar,it's got the Startocaster body cuts and a drop D tuner on top of the other things he added that you don't get on his name brand store bought guitar.Look up a video on his guitar,it's pretty cool, wouldn't mind owning one myself
Daisy chaining, with dual input amps you can connect the guitar in one input channel, and plug the second input of the amp to the input of the second amp. He says this, guitar in input 1 of the twin, input 2 of the twin in input 1 of the vibrolux
