@@BJKDMoni Jon and Richie both have said they were embarrassed from their first 2 albums. Don’t get me wrong, Jon’s a great vocalist. And by far complement each other to no end!! But when Richie Sambora plays that man’s soul leaves his body and goes right out of his hands through that guitar. Sambora made BonJovi what it “was”! There is still time for them to get together to make new music. But that time clock is ticking and running short.
@@EdwardEns Sambora's vocals for Bon Jovi, are like that of Michael Anthony for Van Halen. They helped create a very distinct sound, that is lost, without them in the band. My wife's nephew got us tickets to see Bon Jovi during their last tour. Phil-X's guitar playing was just okay, but what was really missing was the backing vocals of Sambora. The song's just sounded very devoid of soul. I was quite disappointed with the show.
Yes this is true but there is autotune in this video but it is because of the post-production like a edition... this show live was without Autotune...I hate the guy who put autotune here
50% sambora are lost without Bon Jovi same goes 50% Bon Jovi are lost without sambora. Hope one day sambora and alex john such will reunite again with Bon Jovi. Jon Bon Jovi Ritchie Sambora Dave Bryan Tico the Hit Man Alex John Such Love them so much
Say what you want...but damn that reminds me of why I so love his first solo album Stranger in this town....damn his voice singing lead is just so natural and soulful....love it
Please stop with : « the most underrated » or « the GOAT » ... you can see this kind of comment on any video of a famous artist whoever he or she is ... pathetic !
I miss Richie so much. Phil X is a great guitarist but Richie was the soul of Bon Jovi. Without him, it feels bland and I do miss him interacting with Jon on stage. The fist bump at the end of I'll be there for you, both lifting their guitars to close Wanted Dead or Alive or just watching them smiling at each other each time they're on stage. I want Richie back with the Band.
Don't even think about it ! The real BON JOVI is dead ! Times have changed, it's inevitable as they say...It's also like the Journey, Steve Perry ain't coming back, Arnel Pineda rule the Journey now ! But BON JOVI is a different story, as we all know it. The passion is not there, anymore...I'll stick with Richie Sambora, because I'm a guitarist myself, RS is the heart and soul of Bon Jovi, and that's the truth. Look at Jon Bon Jovi now, he lost his singing passion and soul now, it's not there anymore...and that's what they call "Things happen for a reason"...:(
I've always loved his guitar skills and there's a song he did a long time ago that opened my eyes to his singing abilities. I can't remember it now, but it was him alone. Fact: He's one of the greats...no matter how he's rated.
@@misred1 He never would have been so popular without Bon Jovi - and maybe Bon Jovi never so popular without him. They where a great team, with a lot of soul , and love for each other. But without each other Jon Bon Jovi is not the same as before, but also Richie Sambora is not the same. And dont forget - Sambora pissed on the whole band, when he left them all, without a word. What is so good now or so much better than Jon ? ? He already left this girl, for the next one, drunk all the time - thats not a real great success. Maybe Jon lost his voice , but Richi lost much more since they apart.
Richie's voice is amazing, but only Jon and Richie can make this song as it has to be. They should never separated. This song goes without its true soul. IMO
The dynamics of BonJovi is just not the same without "Sambora". Not to take anything away from Tico Torres and John Shanks, the image of Jon and Richie however, is what made that band such a huge success. Those of us that were lucky enough to see them when they were together, are grateful for those unforgettable, magical moments.
How nice to Ritchie get out from the constrictions of Jon & finally get to play his guitar for more then the little amount he did with JBJ. He sounds not only great here but his vocals are strong & he's have a great time . He works well with Orianthi & she's no slouch when it comes to tearing up a solo she feels good playing. A fine performance all around.
Sambora has it all, a one of the best version of "be there for you", sad he split from the band due to - as told in media - a drinking problem, that in the end took its toll...Sambora and Jovi is like Jagger/Richard, could have written more number one eternal rockers🎸🎸🎸🎸
Absolutely agree!!! For me the perfect couple for a rock band!!! The album New Jersey was like a new air of rock sound for that years!!! Richie one of my best guitar player ever!!! Thanks!!!
He was the one with the real voice in the band... and should have been the lead singer but seemed content being in the background for many years. It's nice to see him doing solo stuff that allows him to shine now.
I think people should do what they truly want. Although I love the band Bon Jovi with Richie Sambora, but if this is what Richie wants, I also support his decision. After all his devotion, he deserves it.
He wanted to stay with the band. But Jon wouldn't let him have more opportunities at lead vocals like sambora wanted,so he left. Now listen to Jon's voice, its worn out and listen to Ritchie
Living in Jons shadow all those yrs when all along Richie had enough talent and looks on his own to be the front man. His voice is awesome n his playing unmatched. Sambora I'm a big fan.
I’ve had the honor to have met Richie a couple of times back in the early 90’s when he was touring as a solo act. A very humble man and an amazing MUSICIAN!!!!
little storm I grew up just outside of Chicago and had a good friend who worked at a music store and Richie was there early in the day before he performed at the Riveria in Chicago. My buddy called and I was able to spend about an hour listening to him play a bunch of old guitars and just talk to him about music and life. He was just a humble guy who’s passion for music was immense. He ended up giving me and my friends backstage passes and we hung out with him and his band for about an hour after the show. His music has personally helped me deal with the loss of my father 23 years years ago. If I ever get the chance to talk with him again I would just let him know how much The Answer has gotten me through some of my darkest days over these past 23 years.
@@billwlezien8859 great story, watch a richie show and backstage with them after the show sounds great. there are a lot of people that really richie music has helped them... i hope you find richie.
There ain't no way to ever "separate" a once in a lifetime team like Jon and Richie.......a fellow Jersey boy myself I just believe. Soundin' great Ritchie. Orianthi as well strat man! Bless you all.
I'm from Spain, and I can't die whitout see Richie on live concert...... Really. I see bon Jovi 2 times, but whit years and years since "stranger in this town" Im crazy about this man. Pure soul inside and love in this hands and voice... Pure real bluesman
Jajaja
Richie is such an awesome guitar player and his voice is sooo powerful. His music is really missed by fans of Bon Jovi. Theres NO DOUBT HE CAN DO A TERRIFIC SOLO PERFORMANCE or WITH OTHER TALENTED MUSICIANS. Thanks Richie. KEEP WRITIN' and ROCKIN'. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Perfect Harmony, between Richie and Orianthi in this song. However, Orianthi is now knocking out "Hit Songs Left and Right". Every Dog has it's day. Keep it up Orianthi !!!!!
@@psndsh i thought he was gonna be awful too. he hit a slump where he constantly seemed drunk, but he always let his guitar do the talking. hes back on form. definitely one of the best guitar players out there. his vocals complimented JBJ. it was definately time to move on
06:37 This is a great connection with people. Sambora could write a book about how to perform on stage (Jon could also, and between the two they would write that book much better)
I always thoughts that this kind of guitar god surprise to the people with his lucid talent. Always having the key to go out and at the same time, to go in. As a singer is very nice. As guitarrist a complex paradox that strengths in the sand of time... Thank you Richie. 👉🎸
I've picked up a guitar and learned to play on my own 'cause of this guy...my ultimate guitar hero. We love you Sensei ! You've been inspiring me right from the very start. God bless and you may have good health and more and more rocking years on this planet...:))
Well, that was gonna suck.....til I watched it! Cause nobody can really sound like Jon. Then I realized he wasnt even trying to sound like Jon. He was being himself and it was actually a cool rendition of this song. Rock on.
