I hear you about the carpet in the bathroom, needs to go 100%! As for open concept, I never liked that trend, I think it's going to die. I personally think that having multiple spaces for multiple uses is more practical, like a small office, extra potential bedroom, exercise room...etc etc. Open concept doesn't allow for any of that. Unless you live in a $3 million dollar mansion and have the extra space to spare. But if you have a 2500 square-foot house I wouldn't wanna waste any of it on "open concept"
