God it fucking hurts me that we didn't get our Great War map or cinematic cutscenes. Even if it didn't end how I exactly wanted it to, I still love these characters to DEATH. We grew up with these characters throughout middle school, high school, and now college. I love them, man, they're a part of my childhood memories since Shi No Numa. They deserve a spot on the videogame character Hall of Fame. Nobody can possibly recapture the charisma and humor that these 4 (8) characters brought us. Lowkey I just want Victus back; FUCK the operator characters.
I agree with all of this. I’d like the choice of operators maybe after you beat an Easter egg on a map. You still get the story how it’s told and it’s a cool reward.
I was really hoping we would have gotten victus in Cold War. There’s a radio on classified from Stu talking about a dark place and how Richthofen hasn’t said anything in a long time. I thought it was a radio from the dark aether. Seeing how cod is now, I don’t see them return in Gulf War. But I guess it might be possible that they managed to escape somehow somewhere (I pray upon this every single month)
I can really relate to Richtofen's journey sometimes. Really gives me goosebumps every time. He stepped on people to survive, he is trapped in a cycle of never ending suffering, and the only way to survive is to be selfish and cause pain to others. "What would you have done?" "What was the right thing to do?"
The fact that blood of* the dead ended up in Bo4 is criminal, honestly, that scene would've hit many, MANY more people than just the way it did to us, me personally I didn't like Bo4 but that ending gave me those feelings that you can't ever forget...
your killing me. the audio primed to this story this series has so much heart, the player gets wrapped up in the story being told this is the difference between cold war and the 4. investment into the characters and the story. thanks for helping me realize the missing component
It hits harder knowing that everything they did never mattered it's what nikoli said at the end 9f black ops 4 they were doomed to fail they were meant to die regardless they all knew it they just wouldn't except it its sad seeing these characters not getting the endings they deserved 😞
In my opinion no video game has ever really compared to the chaos of the real world like these games. These characters are us in our every day lives. They go through rough times but at the end of the day they have each other. No matter what happens, they still have hope.

I positively LOVE this . I think I've watched it about 10 times already. I love Edward. If you put this together, you did a fantastic job! The edits are great! My only question is, at the 2:55 mark, the screen goes black for about 15 seconds, just wondering if that was a little error or if it was intentional. Either way, keep up the great work!! Richthofen may be one of my favorite characters he appears as a neural person but underneath unlike ultims he cares about his friends he wants to save them and he can not let them die this is why the cycle keeps going It’s not because he wanted to go down the hero. He just wanted to save his friends. He didn’t want to except that he could do nothing to end the cycle he would have to kill everyone, including himself. He cannot accept death. He lost his soul when he was a child and us, he was unable to accept. This is why Nikolai took leader ship at the end of blood of the dead. He was the only one who still has a sold tag, and therefore, could you the right necessary thing Richthofen is one of my favorite characters unlike ultims he cares about his friends he did not want to kill them he could not accept death and just to reiterate, blood Richthofen is the same that we seen so far but. In this timeline, what was meant to be a small stop to Alcatraz turned into something I was not supposed to be this Richthofen never experienced groad revelations this is a person that hasn’t seen Monty’s evil side yet she is truly a tragic character Plus, the crew will never know how much he tried to save them his comrades, his friends, his brother in arms. That is the sad thing they will never know until Nikolai realizes truly that Richthofen Try to save them so much so much, but in order to free the universe, they must die boat frozen because the elemental chart is connected to them. As long as they are alive the ether will stay intact, but if they all die, both versions of the ether will collapse, sending everything corrupted by 115 into the dark ether and us landing in to the mono warfare 2019 reboot/black ops
This was about him learning to be selfless and not selfish. He wanted to be the hero but saw death and needed to confront it. Once he did that the others learned to do the same so Eddie and Samantha could live their lives pure. Kinda like the relationship between father and son. Father learns to be selfless.
He was even selfish in wanted to be THE hero to save HIS friends. It’s always been about HIM in HIS mind. Not about Eddie or Samantha like it should be.
Cuz they could honestly “CHEAT death countless times” Nikolai says this and they could fight forever but that gets tiring and they live with regret and moral problems
Y'know i'm just starting to think but, the dimension that was closed off in mob of the death. That is the only richtofen that is still technically alive. What if, somehow this isn't the end but the beginning for a new path for that richtofen.
@turivonhoven from a technical standpoint they are 2 very different maps. I wouldn’t want bo4 mechanics in bo3. I’d want it written in the bo3 code and engine.

@@Hoonaw Yes, I know the Blood of the Dead song, but I mean the one that starts when he stars to talk. It's a very old track and it can be heard in a lot of videos ... all the more annoying that I can't find it

Him being there is the reason they were able to leave. I’ve always assumed he lost too much blood to be taken down or it just wouldn’t work without him on it.
WaW, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, and Black Ops3 (the first half) really set up one of the best stories in video game history, then they blew it with the second half of black ops 3 and buried it with black ops 4. It used to be confusing yet easy to follow when you had all the pieces, there was a mystique to it not a conspiracy theory. Then Jason Blundell made it his entire persona to be a trench coat and fedora wearing redditor. Gameplay became boring and annoying, Easter egg steps were just confusing for the sake of drawing out the hunt, and in the end we got one of the worst most unsatisfying endings in the history of storytelling.
