​@@NovusIgnis I wasn't trying to be edgy, but there is illogicality within the early works of the Bible itself (though this is because of a combination of factors such as the removal of some Jewish canon from Catholic canon and translation losing tonality or intention) examples: - if God is a perfect being that can do no wrong, then how can evil be allowed to exist and if it came from one of His creations then how could He not create said creation to be perfect - Gen 1:31 says "God beheld everything He hath made, and judged it to be good" but in Gen 6 God judges the mankind to be a mistake; so He decides to reduce the human population of only a few hundred thousand by destroying all life save for two of every species? And you can't bring in lore regarding the Nephilim because that's from a non-canonical book. The Sons of God is also discredited as being angels or demons outside of Catholic doctrine as other Christian denominations, Judaism, and Islam all use different terminology.

@@safebox36 Your first complaint is literally answered by your second. God *did* create everything to be good. We don't know how long Adam and Eve were in the garden for. For all we know, they existed there for millenia, being good and obedient followers of God before they made the choice that caused them to fall. The reason that they *could* is because God is good too, and thus He gave them the freedom to choose. If He didn't let them choose things for themselves, then He would be evil for forcing them to behave in a way that He deemed fit. This is basically slavery, and it is evil. Humans are made in the image of God, meaning they have the ability to create and to make informed choices to choose things freely for themselves. As a result, satan tempted Adam and Eve by convincing them that they should be like God, even though they couldn't. He fed them false information and as a result they choose poorly and it ended up causing them to sin, which invited death and imperfection into the world. From there, one sin became two and two sins became four. It kept expanding and corrupting what God had created, and it was lo longer good. That's why He decided to wipe out everything except for Noah's family and some animals. He did it because everything was evil and corrupted. The hearts of man only desired sin, and the only ones capable of being saved were Noah and his family. But despite them finding favor in the eyes of God, they were still the product of a fallen world and thus were still prone to sinning, which is why sin continued to abound even after the flood. It all makes perfect sense and is explained within the text. The reason people balk at it is because they don't want to face the concept of them being evil, nor do they want to face the solution that they need to humble themselves before God and surrender that evil. They want to keep doing what they want to do.
