Thanks Everyone. Glad you are getting something out of this practice session of mine. I hope you all have checked out the MAC RICK BAKER how to videos for my Halloween collection over on the MAC Cosmetics face book page. I 'm not sure how much longer they will be up. Also it is really worth looking at all of the entries for the contest. Some really nice make ups there, a lot of them. Im doing some make ups tomorrow Halloween, I will try and video them. Just came across this video now and sad I have not found it sooner. Rick I miss working for you old friend. Rick there are soo many awesome talented people in make-up now days but for me you still continue to be my true inspiration.

Nothing can beat the real stuff (take that, CGI). Mr Baker is a heavyweight of pure "real stuff".

a true hero in the industry and grew up idolizing you sir, I attended the savini program in pa with high hopes for a career to follow in the footsteps of my heros and sacrificed everything to do so I sure wish I could have spent my time with one who cares as much as you. im a father of three sons in hopes to keeping our dreams of this lifestyle around and "I'll keep begging the industry so just maybe I could get a real opportunity to have this as a career instead of a hobby. your the best Rick.

I just cannot use words to express how amazing you are at your craft. For over a decade I have dreamed how amazing it would be to work for you. Yes, tons of hard work but to be a part of something so amazing and spectacular would be so worth it. Ok, I'll shut up now. Lol.

This video is AMAZING! Mr Baker I've been your fan an following you since 1981 when I filmed the Oscar scenes of the AAWIL with my father's Super 8 camera! I was fascinated with what you had done with that transformation! I was 14 years old then and I am 46 now and I'm still amazed! I've been following your career as much as I can here in Brazil. Of course the internet got everything closer! All I want to say is that I love your talent and your art! I admire you so much! Thanks for everything!

Thanks everyone for looking and for the nice comments. Ed they are all MAC products.The activator you saw was MAC Gel Mixing Medium. If I can figure out how to do it ,when I get time, I will add notes to the video as to what I am using and what color it is. Very nice job Rick! Been a longtime fan of yours. Always top level work from your studio. Still a very big fan of old-school FX. Computers have their pro's and con's like anything else..it's just one of the tools in the box. Looking back at films from the 80's and 90's that had no CG I am astounded. I can appreciate the work more so than ever.
