Great Halloween creation Rick. By the way you have a very big fan named Shonagh Scott. She has her own RU-vid channel. She would love to hear from you.
I don't know if you'll see this, Mr. Baker, but I just wanted to say that I read your book. I actually got it as a present this past Christmas and I read it in two weeks. I loved every single bit of it and it was amazing to learn about every single film you ever worked on, as I learned about some I had no idea about. I also liked hearing about the movies you were meant to work on but you either had to drop out or the movie never got made (my only disappointment in that regard was that I heard you were going to be involved in the Steve Miner Godzilla movie from the 80's that never came to be but the book mentioned nothing about it; I LOVE Godzilla, so I wanted to see your take on that). All in all, it was a great read, you're the man, and it's nice to see you're enjoying retirement, because if anyone earned it, it's you. Keep doing what you love doing.
wow! well done- it's amazing to see how many tz episodes have actually come true in our present times!! creepy! From the summit of mans knowledge to the pits of imagination... we are living in ...
I love how classy Rick keeps his effects, even if it is gory. Don’t get me wrong, I love gore, but I also love the classic Jack Pierce makeups today, and Rick Baker is definitely the new Jack Pierce.
The boy who devoured every issue of Famous Monsters and treasured his growing Aurora Universal model collection can be seen in this tutorial. The countless hours spent trying different types of adhesives with various materials, much of it found in his house. Developing his own techniques of makeup application over the years. Displaying an endless imagination with a ravenous desire to learn. You can definitely see the boy at work here still having the time of his life. Bravo!
Rick as a horror film fan you are a hero to me making so many great monsters and especially Werewolves...my two favourite films are Howling and American werewolf in London... Please make more of these I am in ore of your talent...I wish I was artistic cause what a superb job you have... Long time fan atb Lee
I love this so much. I am big into makeup. I work at a Haunted Attraction in Salt Lake. I am constantly doing research on how to do different techniques. I wish you would do more self applying. It helps a lot.
Rick, Thank You for sharing this. It reminds me of the book he published while at NBC I think? And video way back that Dick Smith did, Monster Makeup. *thumbs up*
Hello Rick Baker, I just seen The Tingler and loved it cause I’m a Vincent Price fan. And I’m also your biggest fan because you have inspired me to be a makeup artist especially when it comes to creating monsters. And this one you did “Miss Shock” such an amazing job. Also, thank you. You’ve also taught me about using a paintbrush with latex, that you can easily wash it.
You and Stan Winston are the ones who got me into wanting to make costumes, I love the old school traditional over complete CGI, I would also imagine the final results feels so much more rewarding
Bravo my friend, Bravo!! You have done something most of us dream of. Accomplished your dreams, or in your case night mares lol. Loved watching you grow and your talent! Sherri
This is very cool. I love this very much Rick. Your Setrakian makeup is on point. And your daughters look amazing. We love the Strain and are sad it's over.
