I was not aware of Rick before today. I am now obsessed with Rick Glassman. Started this ep listening, and had to come over to the video and glad I did. Only got better being able to see him. Handsome. Soooo Hilarious. Thoughtful. Endearing. So sharp. I have listened to every ep of YMIW and this has to be a top 10er for its balance of hilarious moments while also deep and thoughtful. I wish it had gone on for 2 more hours. Pete: was there a time you laughed so hard you cried? maybe you were a kid… Rick: I definitely was. 😂😂😂😂😂
Fuck the haters I love the way YMIW looks and I love how TYSO looks. I'm a big fan of visual podcasts but not because they look really good or bad they're just an extension of the podcasts vibe.
Pete and Rick are literally my two favorite comedian podcasters. This is heaven. PS the video version of You Made It Weird has been excellent, please keep it up!
I would be interested to see a video version of the “We Made it Weird” episodes with Val… but I understand if that’s a bit much to ask. Those are honestly some of my favorite episodes and if anyone hasn’t listened yet I would highly recommend!
I'm questioning Magic Mind's efficacy if Pete forgot about Rick's OCD and autism, or doing acronyms on his first episode of TYSO (#47). Pete's second appearance (#164) is worth watching for the ending alone! #genius
You dont have to conform to have intention and effort. Like when i was in high school and goth was pretty alt. That was like non conforming culture, but all that make up and interesting clothing took effort and intention.

YMIW always has the best guests and the most fullfillin conversations 😭 I keep thinkin "this is my favorite episode!" And then another banger drops and I'm like 👀 okay maybe they are all my favorite. Point is, this pod is phenomenal and I'm so glad it exists! 🌟 Side thing that absolutely doesn't matter- the more I listen to Rick the more I realize he is everything I want in a partner... Sadly I just have three of his four, because only half my face is cute, so he's probably not interested and I am okay w that....Also I'm asexual and aromantic so I couldn't be anything but helpful, but if he's in the market fer a good friend I'm here 🐸🤣
23:04 I like Rick's note on the "set" for this show, visually.. but Pete's got such a HUGE built-in base of fans (like myself) who consider it an audio-only podcast. Rick's playing 4D chess with his *SHOW* on youtube. I have a dozen podcasts I WATCH and a 2 dozen I keep on my phone every week. There's no need for that YT ad revenue if you're not willing to play the game. Nothing against Pete, again, just it's apples and oranges. I've watched half of two of Pete's recent eps on here, but I knew I had to tune in for Rick once I saw it pop up in my Apple feed. I came to youtube for that sweet, sweet Glassman touch when he guests on other people's shows.

I've literally never commented on a video straight up like this, the minute it's uploaded, having not watched a second of it, and maybe I've never understood it because I've never been so excited to see something, especially in a long-format vid. Holy shit, ol' Petey Boy and Boy Are My Arms Tired. YMIW and TYSO are my favourite podcasts... seeing them get deep, or just being silly and goofy together, is the pinnacle of pods. It's different now that Rick's on Pete's show. This'll be some top-tier shit as always, I'm sure.
Rick Glassman is not only the most emotionally perhaps (?circumstantially) high maintenance man I've ever heard, but the most high-maintenance human!! Sometimes I'll listen to the beginning of podcast he's on just to see how that particular comedian handles his challenging need and challenging communication. But it does get old after a short time. I knew that Pete would handle him beautifully. And he does!!

If you want to try and improve the look of your show I'd talk to the Hey Babe guys, very similar vibe with the couch and the pillows and sleepover energy.
I just don't do podcasts audio-only. For it to be here makes sense to me because this is the ecosystem that I choose to spend my time in. There's a huge disparity between subscriber count and who's actually watching your videos. That has always been a problem for people trying to maintain a presence here. That, and a lot of people never actually look at their subscriptions (via clicking the subscriptions button), they just open the homepage and watch what's recommended to them, which may be someone they're subscribed to or someone _like_ who they're subscribed to.
Aw, I love Rick s'much! This is the most relaxed he's ever seemed. P.S. Yes, we've heard the basketball game story before but I don't ever mind hearing it again and everything I feel, everyone else feels, so it's fine.

I much prefer Pete's casual set and setting and leg up than a more formal (safe?) distance like on ricks tso and other podcasts... I do exactly what Pete said I have the window open on RU-vid and I glance and look occasionally but mostly listen but only on RU-vid

Good lord Rick…. The “chewing gum” into the mic sounds is the easiest way to make someone HATE you. Please enough with that. The sound directly into the ear is truly insane.
