When was this documentary made, Rick looks a lot younger here than he did in his latter years leading up to his death. At least he was still at the time of this documentary, able to string a sentence together. Shame this once talented man ended up checking out before his time. r.i.p. Rick
@Priscilla yes he was it's so sad that him and Prince are gone and Michael Jackson they should have lived well until their 70s or 80s especially Prince he was in such good shape from all the stage performance that he did but you know ultimately it did break them down because your body can't withstand jumping off 20-ft risers and such but he had a healthy heart and there's no way that he died from drugs now Rick James it's been openly known for his drug use what a great artist he was and he was very handsome yes he was
Neil Young has said it was amazing playing with Rick but get Motown dropped them. They were the first interracial on Motown. Neil is a genius, a great rocker.
I think Rick James mind was fairly normal ....honestly think adderall or vivannce would have benefitted him greatly......he either was sped up or slowed down...drugs prob helped him slow down and just needed something 2 focus his mind

is thats why vanity left him for prince.cause ric was in so much drugs.prince never looked liked he was into drugs.maybe somebof his friends were but he wasn't. it didn't appear to me.
